Summary: I was very happy with this projector but when it stopped working, the support from Optoma is HORRID. I sent it back to the Official Optoma r Repair company (part of Optoma) Optoma wanted more money for its repair than the cost of buying a Brand New & Better Projector (HD26).
Summary: After 3 years of very light use, with the original bulb still in good shape, it failed. After restart it started smelling and was getting hot. Unplugged it and trying to see about repair cost. Must investigate repair/replace cost analysis. Warranty is one year....
Summary: I have had this projector for 3 years and just now blew the lamp. I bought this to replace an outdated but really good CRT projector that weighed over 150 lbs. I. Was immediately shocked at how simple it is to work, but it is so simple because they removed a lot of options.
Summary: Installed the projector in Garage. Connected simple laptop using VGA cable. Hooked up simple 5.1 audio system with 4 speakers And we are enjoying movies, DVD, pictures, home videos and internet content. Thank you. -Sanjay
Summary: I have owned the HD65 projector for just over 2 years now. I bought it because a good friend had the same one and I loved the picture quality. For the price, this system cannot be beat. However, I have had a few minor issues...well really just one issue that continues to this day: Fan noise.
Summary: I have now had this projector for several years. I have had to replace the lamps twice. It is not ideal that the replacement lamps cost this much, but that is how these systems work... That being said, this projector has been a real workhouse and worked beautifully in every conceivable situation.
Summary: I have had this projector for 3 years now and I am very satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants the best quality for the least amount of money. At least, that was true around the time I bought it.
