Summary: This is the first projector I've ever owned and after using it for about 4 months now, it's awesome. Even at 120" the picture is incredible. Not too noisy and was easy to set up. The one thing to watch for is since this is a DLP based projector, at times I can see kind of a sparkly effect when the brightness is too high. I could also see this on a DLP based big screen I had a couple years ago.
Summary: WOW. I cannot say enough good things about this projector.. I have a 123" screen and the image is BRIGHT and beautiful. I also use the 3D sometime and its amazing. You wont regret buying this.
Can a first time projector owner hit a home run on his first at bat? An Optoma HD33 review.

Summary: First off, I have to come clean ......not only have I never reviewed a projector before, this is the first projector I've ever owned. And while I try to keep myself abreast of the newest info, trends, and technology that floods the AV market, by no means am I professional. So if you are looking for tech specs, industry jargon, or someone with a time tested trained eye that can decent the slightest bit of variance in the black levels, then I'm not your man.
Summary: I was a little scared to drop this kind of money on something I was unfamiliar with, mainly projectors themselves... But this is exceptional at the 84" screen size I am utilizing. Clarity is beyond expectation and the colors pure. I already had Avengers 3D from a combo pack and was in awe when I fired it up. I ordered a second set of glasses already. I have had it installed less than three days and have already ordered four more 3D movies and search for more Blu rays.
Summary: This projector is just plain sick!! You will never see a display like this in a projector and I had many projectors I had a optoma hd70, hd20, Mitsubishi hc3800 witch was one of my favorites. I also had a epson 6500ub and a optoma gt750e and the hd33 is by far the best out of all of them.
Summary: Love this projector across the board. Great color, Great brightness, Great 3d, Great lamp life according to the specs. Replacement lamps aren't very expensive and apparently very easy to replace. This is the best projector for the money. I use a 135 inch screen and I can see the pores in the actors skin!!!
Summary: I replaced a broken $3000 panasonic non 3D projector with the Optoma. I admit I was skeptical having not heard of the brand and the relatively low price. Wow am I pleasantly surprised! The picture quality is fantastic and the 3D is, in my opinion, better than at the theater. Setup was easy although I did have to purchase a new receiver with one that is 3D capable. I would recommend this projector to anyone!
