Summary: I thought I had an issue with my AV receiver, the sound would play but no picture via the projector. After a couple of painful weeks I figured out it was the projector. Optima makes you pay for the shipping to have it fixed! No good. Now guess what? It is not working again, not sure why but I am not looking forward to this process again. The picture is really good but I would not buy it had I known the issues I was going to have.
Summary: the first i bought was faulty and this appears to be common problem, optomas quality control is pretty bad, on the forums i read quite a few guys with faulty hd33's recently anyway 2nd pj, my initial thoughts were, this is not a realy grands worth of projector, its a bitplasticky, baggy focus knob and even worse zoom control, the remote looks like its from a very cheap toy.. the menu options are very limited..not really much good..
Summary: The product seemed to be used for quite some time, since the inside of the lens unit was covered with black dust. The lens unit was also loose, probably because it had been cleaned before shipping? Since the lamp hours is easy to reset, I do not believe that this projector is as new as it should have been.
