Summary: Great projector for price--equivalent to $4000 unit of four years ago! Out-of-box calibration is excellent! Natural colors, good black levels, easy to set up. Light and compact and more than enough lumen to handle living room ambient light.
Summary: I was a previous Optoma HD20 owner for a year and half, and there is a noticeable different with the lumen upgrade. I haven't used the 3D features yet, but plan to in the near future. Overall, very nice quality image. Loved my HD20, this is just a bonus brightness.
Summary: i upgraded from the optoma gt 750e which ive had for 2 years now and is a 720p projector but i have to say this projector is worth the money for the picture quality and brightness at this price range.the image is bright out the box and after a little tweeking i am getting theater quality picture from my 135 " elite screen.had a little issue with image alignment (wish it had lense shift)but it was fixes with a little adjustment by moving the image around till i got the...
Summary: I own an optoma hd that is about 7 years old. It is 720p and worked really well. Contrast ratio was very limited. When I bought this one the first thing my said was "what was wrong with the other one". I turned it on and she she said "wow this one is so much better". I guess that speaks for itself when Someone who hates tv and gadgets was impressed. I can't rate this against other products, but for the price it's a huge winner.
Summary: wow, it is great!. wonderful image, and plenty of features/options. Love it. misunderstood the projection modes, though, and thought it could sit high on a shelf and project down to a screen across room. No, it must be hung upside down to project down from the height of where it is mounted.
Summary: Personal Experience I bought this to upgrade to 3D from a 720P Optoma HD71 which was still working great after 5 years. I am shooting onto a Elite 150" cinegray screen so I need lots of lumens. This HD25LV has not disappointed either in 2D or 3D. I was very surprised how much better the picture quality is and it is brighter than my HD71, which was no slouch. I went with the Optoma RF 3D ZF2100 glasses and emitter and they work great.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade to 3D from my Optoma HD71. I am shooting onto a Elite electric 150" cinegray 1.0 screen so I knew I would need lots of lumens, especially with 3D shutter glasses. Besides having plenty of light, I was pleasantly surprised how much better the picture quality is. Although my HD71 is a very good 720P projector and had received many compliments, this HD25LV definitely makes me have no regrets about finally upgrading.
Summary: This is my second projector after having a Benq, this one is great, I have my PS3, Cable box, and Android mini PC connected, all look great, 3d movies are of excelent quality, I opted for some OKEBA dlp glasses and these are working just perfect.
