Summary: I live in a great neighborhood; every week we gather in someone's garage for Sunday football. I couldn't put a LED tv in my garage for fear of it freezing when I don't have it heated, and a tube tv takes so much room I could not do that either. So, I researched some projectors and ended up buying this one. I made my own screen from blackout cloth, and I ran some wire out to the garage for cable. This is one heck of a setup ...

Summary: Iam more satisfied with the purchase of this unit After seeing through HD 25 LV s performance Good brightness and colur details are more satisfactory than i have expected at this price I was little/ more doubtfull about the performance until i play this unit wheres as every recommendations in forums about other projectors were 2500$ mark range Optoma hd 25 LV rendering is spectacular in colour detail, and brightness in s very good even at Eco mode Able to get 120 inch...
Summary: I have been a projector owner for 10 years, and this just can't be beat for under $1000. I really can't believe I can have the home theater experience that I have now, complete with 3D. I had also considered the BenQ1070 but didn't get it because of some bad reviews and especially the placement issue (it would have had to go in the middle of my room vs. in the back about 12-13 feet from the screen where the Optoma is mounted).
Summary: Personal Experience I ordered this HD25-LV after returning the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema due to poor black level. The black looks grey. I am so please with this HD25-LV. The picture is so much brighter, color jumps out and the black is super black. The picture is sharper and color vivid. Viewing blue ray movies are better then in the movie theater. I am absolutely blown away. I highly recommend this projector.
Summary: I've owned projectors for almost 15 years and after wanting to step up from my Epson, I decided to give the DLP based projectors a try and ordered the HD25 specifically because of the 3D capabilities along with its reasonable price. First, the DLP is awesome. I never had any complaints with my precious LCD based projectors but I do think that in my room at least, the colors are just a little more vibrant. In 3D mode, the picture is clear, sharp and well defined.
Summary: I couldn't be happier with making the upgrade, I LOVED my Optoma HD-33 and now with the HD-25 I finally have the higher lumens I have been looking for. This projector is awesome. Noticeably brighter than the HD-33. With the HD-33 the room had to be 90+% dark. With the HD-25 the room can be much brighter and the screen doesn't have that washed out look. It pops out brilliant! I definitely noticed a difference instantly. 3D is as good as ever.
Summary: I purchased this projector for my basement which we recently finished. It is ceiling mounted in a home theater room which is 17x12 feet. It works great! Some complain of fan noise, some complain of it not being bright enough. Some complain the bulb is too expensive. I have none of those issues. The fan is not that loud to me. Especially since it is in a theater room with a home theater sound system. It is plenty bright for me in the basement.
