Summary: Have had this unit for several months now. Out of the box it has a 1 to 1 ratio projection setting for our theater room - Projecting distance of 15 foot & 6 inches and projecting to a 129 inch diagonal screen. This unit has plenty of projection lighting to support excellent viewing with end table lamps on at night time, or daytime viewing with the theater room blinds closed, table lighting on and exhibiting excellent projection.
A seemingly great product but it has a few very annoying flaws...

Summary: I've owned 2 Infocus projectors since 2002 before this one. The Infocus projectors were about the same quality overall with slightly different problems. This one has the following issues... it will not focus clearly. Mine will focus clearly in exactly 1 very tiny position and if that position is not ultra perfect it's fuzzy on half the screen. The Infocus projectors focused perfectly and they were older tech.
Summary: Projector has Great Picture quality. I was using a projector from 10 years ago. It's native was 1024x768 (4:3). Now I get 1920x1080 Native! I can see so much more on my screen and actually read it. The Image brightness is tremendous! I run it in Eco mode which says you'll get a lamp life of 6000 hours vs 3500 hours. I don't even use a special screen. I just shine it on a white wall and it looks great.
Summary: This projector is excellent! Have a fantastic resolution and brilliant image . excellent for watching movies, video clips and also for games. good light and does not require that the environment is dark. This projector is quiet, easy installation and configuration, remote control with illuminated keys and works in any direction, do not need to point to the projector. 3D glasses not included.. recommend this projector to friends ..
Summary: Wow, this thing is bright! I had an older model that was only half as bright as this and I loved it but during the day my room wasn't really dark enough. This one is easily as bright as an LCD or plasma screen even during the day (with at least some effort to darken the room). As with all of the Optoma projectors, this is quiet and has a sharp clean image. There's no lens shift, but that would add hundreds of dollars and really it's only something you'll use once.
Summary: Pretty straight forward to use. The internal speakers point towards the projection so those in front will hear it and those behind may not as much and will catch the distortion as it reaches maximum noise level. Would recommend external speaker for larger viewings.
Summary: I purchased this projector to upgrade from an HD20 that I purchased a couple of years ago. My criteria for the replacement projector; be DLP, be bright (>2000 lumen), be 3D capable, and, overall, be CHEAP! I hit all of those marks with the HD25-LV! This projector is perfect for my uses. My theater environment is a 21' x 23' room with a 150" screen.
Summary: I bought this to replace my Infocus IN76 projector I had been using for the past four years. I wanted to upgrade from 720 (vertical) to full 1080 resolution, I wanted more brightness, and of course, 3D capability. This Optoma HD25e projector delivers the goods in terms of brightness and resolution. It is three times brighter than my old projector and it has a much better contrast ratio as well.
Summary: For the price this projector is fabulous! My expectations going into this purchase was that of a "beginner" purchase. What I waned to see is if a projector would work in my man cave (retrofitted detached garage), and whether a projected image was good enough to watch movies and NFL games. So here is my pro and con list: Pros 1. I'm projecting onto a 150" screen and the image is crystal clear.
Summary: Still getting used to it. First projector for business presentations. The extra light output is nice as you do not have to dim the lights and you still get a very clear and bright picture. Relatively light and small with very easy to use zoom and focus rings. Lots of inputs, but the HDMI seems to be very easy. HP laptop recognizes it and synchs up without crashing, which happened when I used vga input on someone else's projector.
