Summary: Satisfied so far - doesn't heat up as much as a previous Acer DLP projector that I had. The Acer experience made me think DLP projectors were inferior compared to LCD projectors. Features are wonderful: WXGA resolution, Short-throw lens, etc. Real Value For Money.
Excerpt: I previously owned a couple classroom grade 2600 lumen Optoma projectors and upgraded to these for corporate presentations. They are easy to set up and work well. I've only had them a couple weeks, but if they are like Optoma products in the past, I'll be using these projectors for many years to come!
Pros: Clear Display, Easy To Use, Quality Construction, Quiet, Small Footprint
Summary: Pros - low latency, great picture (what more do you want?) - fast boot and shutdown - easy controls and adjustments Cons - HEAT. do not underestimate the amount of hot air output by this unit.
Summary: you only need about 3 feet to make a 70" screen. great for video games, movies or anything really. still gotta close the shades in the windows and turn the lights off. darker the better. If your looking for a projector to use with open windows and lights on then this one probably isnt for you.
Summary: I read many reviews on this projector, both on amazon and a few other review sites. I felt very confident with buying this unit. I received it quickly and got a great deal on it. Set up only took 3 minutes. Yes, I am serious ONLY 3 minutes. I put it through test after test. Picture quality is outstanding in low level lighting. It is a great movie and gaming projector. I have been more then happy with the optoma and quality and am planning on buying a second one.
Summary: This thing is awesome for the money you cant go wrong 700 bucks for a picture of up to 300" wow. This is by far the best gift i have ever bought for myself. If youre a gamer or just a movie buff this unit is for you.
Summary: Personal Experience This is my 4th projector and I can say it is a great value compared to a lot of other projectors. I have owned an Epson Moviemate 50 and Megaplex 50 which were very good for what they were - inexpensive ground floor home theater and multimedia devices. great for playing video games and watching DVD's. Then I stepped into the world of Hi Def Blu rays. I knew I needed an upgrade but couldn't justify the cost of higher end projectors.
Summary: I purchased the projector for our church. We needed a ultra short throw that would give us a huge screen in a very tight space. Also we need to use our existing wireless transmitter/receiver system which the GT760 accommodated. So, we are extremely happy and on top of it all it was very affordable for everything that it offers. We would recommend it to anyone for tight spaces wanting a very large presentation.
