  • Summary: As above
  • Pros: I paid £170 for this projector off ebay brand new and it's one of the best things i've ever bought. Colours bright and vivid
  • Cons: fan extremely loud and quite hot No support for some of the more esoteric resolutions (automatically defaults to 800x600 or 1200x800 so can sometimes lose aspect ratio)

  • Summary: Wow, wow, WOW.
  • Pros: The first time (yesterday)I played a DVD though my laptop and focused the picture on my wall the picture quality blew my mind. Fantastic
  • Cons: I still need to run my TV and PS3 through the EP720i. Until I do that I can't say much more.

  • Summary: Picked this up for £293, bargain. For the money, the image is excellent, bright and reasonably impressive contrast. Sharp image, even if the native is low, compressed 720p still looks great. Very easy to use.
  • Pros: Great image, even in ambient lighting.
  • Cons: Generates a scary amount of heat, could fry eggs on it Ghostbusters style.

Superb for viewing most signals, max 600 lines not enough for proper HD viewing

  • Excerpt: I like games, i like movies, i like surround sound. With these things sorted what you need is a cinema screen. I came to the Optoma 720 kind of by accident. I was building my own projectors by butchering LCD screens and overhead projectors with varying success. Then a friend offered me one of these with 10 hours of use for £50. Sold.
