Summary: My list of dislikes about this projector is very short, and admittedly, superficial. For one, its boxy form factor is not likely to win any design awards. When I was shopping for projectors, I found the assortment of ovoid-shaped, smooth-edged competing projectors highly alluring. Unfortunately, they were all out of my price range at the time or so lacking in performance as to be unsuitable.
Summary: I bought this last August. Sure enough in September (after the one-year warranty was up), I started having one or two white dead pixels...this rapidly turned into constellations and now a milky way of dead white pixels obstructs the viewing image. The warranty is up, it's useless and it does not have a ton of hours on the lamp or projector. Beware of this product.
Summary: Bought my projector last year in October, starting just over a month ago dead white pixels began appearing in the corner of the screen and spreading quickly. Now a corner of the screen is covered with scattered white and blinking dots. Other then that its worked pretty well for the past year.
Summary: First things first: I know nothing about projectors. My level of technical savvy is functional at best. I don't what know what lumens are, I have a less-than-basic understanding of resolution, and scan/refresh rates mean nothing to me. Show me how to plug the thing in and turn it on, and if the picture looks pretty, I'm good. BUT...in spite of this obvious technical handicap, I knew I wanted a set-up for watching movies outdoors on a big inflatable screen.
Summary: Maybe it's because I got a refurbished one, but this thing has rainbow effect bad. If I move my eyes to track an object or if there's high contrast in the projected image, I see flashes of color that should not be there. It's really annoying and might render this projector useless for me if I can't get used to it or somehow reduce the rainbow effect. Otherwise this projector is as the 4 and 5 star reviews have described.
Summary: I bought this knowing quite a bit about electronics and wanted to get something fun for the kids to have in the back yard for the summer. I was suprisingly amazed at the picture quality and ease of use. The only time I have had to use the remote was when I wanted to turn up the volume through the variable audio output. When you plug in a media source the unit automatically finds it and displays it. Great unit in everyway possible!
Summary: I bought this projector about a month ago and it's a good deal for the money. Nice bright picture. This was a new installation so I was able to mount it wherever I needed to so the picture size would match up to the screen. I assumed that it (like most I've seen) at least had the ability to zoom the picture to some degree. Not on this model. It wasn't that big of deal since the wiring was not already installed - but this may be a problem for some people.
