  • Summary: Mitsubishi has done a great deal more than just hit a leading edge, low price point with 1080p. The projector is remarkable for its beautifully natural picture quality, as well as a host of features that makes it about as user friendly and easy to install as any projector out there. I'm very pleased to give the HC5000 my strongest possible recommendation, and I offer my warmest congratulations to the product managers and engineers at Mitsubishi for a job exceedingly well...

  • Summary: Mitsubishi did an excellent job setting defauts. I'm using just HDMI input and the picture quality is way above a flat screen TV. I paired it with a Da-Lite Cosmo Tesioned Electrol with the cinema vision material. Set up was a breeze and the lens shift is more than adequate for my set up. The projector is ceiling mounted about 13' from the screen. The sitting area is a 12' and I cannot hear the projector at all during playback.
  • Pros: Outstanding picture right out of the box. I used Video Essentials to fine tune but I ended up making just a few minor changes. It's also extremely quiet.
  • Cons: Not bright enough for a room with just a couple of windows. Black out blinds will be necessary for a great experince.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I have not gone into anyones house yet and seen a movie room where the picture is as clear as mine, and I have been in some very expensive homes and theater rooms. I have a 110" screen and every single person that sees my picture comments on how clear it is. I have not had a problem out of the picture yet after 2 years. The price of this projector is truly worth it.

  • Summary: Personal Experience One of the best value for money 1080p projectors on the market. Lets face it, with todays technology most 1080p pj's will not disapoint, but the mitsubishi is a real fire cracker.Would highly recommend you audition this model before you buy anything. My honest opinion is that the more expensive models were not $$$$$ better than the mitsubishi in terms of quality of picture. After 4 months of auditions I feel I havr chosen well. Problems ZIP!!

  • Summary: Personal Experience I was in love with my Sanyo PLV-Z3, it was stolen. So now I have the stunning HC5000. It is hdmi connected to my PS3 and DVI connected to the mac-mini. I am very demanding, here absolutely blown away, blu-ray discs looks perfect, and even if I try I do not understand why reviewers continues to compare movie quality with theater : theaters looks very ugly : in theater pictures blinks and is never perfectly focused, and most of the time black levels are...

  • Summary: Personal Experience Much much better than any others 1080P projectors that I 'ever try. You may see the difference since you pick out from the box and open it (with out any calibration). If you want to buy the expensive 720P,I recommend you to buy this 1080P. But the Panasonic PT-AE1000U Projector is much better. Black, sharp, white, and the color is better. 1500 buck more, sorry i don't have the money.... Problems The iris at hd & tv Two pixel is faulty dark no replace...

  • Summary: Personal Experience I'm using it since 5 months now. I can't stop appreciating what I got for the money I spent. I coupled it with a 92" High-Power (high gain) screen surface from Da-lite and shelf mounted it over my head with almost no horizontal shift. The silence of this projector is the best You will find today in the market! The image in my setup is so brigth and vivid I only use low lamp. This means 5000 hrs of life. What else I should ask?
