Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this projector new when it was first released in 2005. I have since been using it as my families primary television for entertainment. The pj has performed with zero issues for the past 7 years. I annually remove the pj from the ceiling mount and clean it up, and have been replacing the bulb every 2 years.
Summary: We got this projector for Christmas in 2007 and have used it for at least three hours a week, every week since then. Some weeks, it was used much more for gaming. I estimate the lamp lasted at least 900 hours, and possibly much longer (there was a time when my son and his friends used it for five hours a day several days a week). It is rated for 2000 hours, but I wonder now if that is 2000 hours on the "low" setting (and will have a much shorter life on "normal").
Summary: Personal Experience Bought this used with close to 4000 hours on and it was on it's second lamp. Replace lamp with Factory lamp and purchased new remote (can only control iris with remote) I love this projector it is quite on eco mode and has and excellent picture with very little noise. I have yet to get it ISF calibrated, but will later this year. I have a grand total of $500 invested in this unit and it has been worth every penny so far.
Summary: I picked mine up at on sale Best Buy for $600 (before tax), and what a deal! I've got mine set to a 60 inch screen setting from about 10 feet away, and it looks fantastic. Air filter is easy to clean, and is compatible with most ceiling mounts. Has all sorts of connectivities and is great for work (laptop) and home entertainment. Works best in a low-light room. Standing within 2 feet of screen can reveal DLP grid, but completely invisible from normal viewing distances.
Summary: I built my Home Theater Room over a year ago, and did a lot of research and settled on this projector. If I could do it all over again, I would again pick this same projector. After a year of steady use (an hour a day, average) the projector is as bright, clear and as fresh from the box. At 2 to 3 thousand hour bulb life, this projector is going to last another 5 to 6 years.
Summary: Personal Experience I've had this projector for a couple of months. It is ROCK solid. Running 106" (dia.) with a 6.2 surround. I love it, and so does the girlfriend (the biggest skeptic about projectors). HDTV looks life like, Xbox360 looks great, the Wii is a blast. Can't wait to hook up HD-DVD... Definitely a projector to pick up if you are thinking about it. Problems None.
Summary: The item arrive as schedule according to the tracking information provided by Amazon. The product arrive new as promise and display an exceptional, clear piture. The projector is so quick the viwer don't know the system is on. My next big ticket item will be purchase through Amazon.
Summary: Personal Experience Finally this is a projector I am talking about. I bought this pj a few month ago, I think around the time a new panasonic PT-AX100U've just came out. First I'm aiming to get the panasonic's one then I changed my mine right after I compared to this HC3000, everything was better and I will recomend this pj to all my friend if they want to buy a projector.
