Summary: I was very optimistic about the SHOWWX but ran into a major issue when I connected it, using the VGA adapter, also from MicroVision, to my Lenovo T61 laptop. Summary: Hello, I recently purchased a Microvision SHOWWX+ HDMI, along with VGA adpator, hopping to use it for professional slide projections and personal movie projection. When I turned it on, I got disappointed by the poor brightness / luminosity.
Summary: After reading all the reviews and compared to other brands, I ordered this projector with high expectation. After tried it, I decided to return it. Thank god I bought it from Amazon where the return policy is straight forward and painless. Below is what I experienced: 1.
Summary: THE GOOD: Portable, EASY to use. THE BAD: Because it's a LASER projector, the image is speckled. The technology employs 3 lasers that mix the colors to generate many. HOWEVER, you really can't get a true "white" color so it just looks like all the colors in one. My eyes were very sensitive to that.
Summary: After first charge the battery didn't last for a full length movie. It says it cannot be In use while charging. Also, you cannot mirror the screen of the iPad to surf the web, only allows you to play movies, and show photos.
Summary: So I read all the reviews and took a chance on this projector since I knew I'd be using it in a dim-lit room. Bottom-line is if you are using it for more than just personal viewing where a small projection is acceptable or in a very dark room, don't buy it.
