Summary: We bought this projector in order to show our friends/family photos of some of our travels. Putting the photos on to the ipod and then projecting them on a wall seemed like a fantastic idea. We were willing to sacrifice a bit of image quality to do this. However, there are some major problems. 1. You can only show the photos if you have them play as a slide show. there is no way to slow down or alter the speed of the slide show--and you can't pause on any photos. 2.
Summary: Purchased this SHOWWX+Laser February 3, 2012 product arrived and opended to check it out. I placed the power cord into the port and it pushed all the way in and the port pulled out with the cord. I was informed to return the product and did so. then to come to find out they couldn't replace or refund my purchase. I purchased this thru amazon.com.
Summary: I read the literature-I should have read the lowball reviews. THIS THING DOES NOT, NOT, display photos, either from Ipad (as it says it does) nor from camera (Nikon, composite vid out). If all you want to do is look at movies, or with the help of some spendy aps, some PDF presentations, well, maybe. The graphics are very good, brilliant, and nice to look at, if all you want is movies.
Summary: The pocket projector worked fine on the first day...then the battery would not take another charge. I notified the vendor, who has not responded to my email. I would not recommend this product.
Summary: I bought this projector through Amazon.com, when I received it in the mail approximately 2 weeks later, new & still in the box, it did not and does not work! So in the instructions I got MicroVision's Tech Support email address and this is the response I received.. Hi John, Thanks. Unfortunately you'll need to contact the company you purchased that particular unit from. We sold that to a clearinghouse of our Ireland and the projectors warranty has expired.
Summary: I bought this gadget because I wanted to display apps for meetings and teaching purposes. All I can watch on it is VIDEO content! I can't bring up an app and demonstrate it for a group. It doesn't display the iPod screen, it displays just video content. This expensive thing is is going back in the box and going back to Amazon. Someone should have included that in the technical specs, do you think.
Summary: The picture quality is not very good. Tried to use it to give a small presentation but it is extremely hard to read at even 10 feet away. Picture is faint and dim. Tried to brighten but it only has 3 levels, none of which are bright. Not sure what I would use this for...might be ok if all lights in the room are off, but if you cannot clearly see a picture with some background light what is the point.
