Compact Movie Theater
1 March 2013
Summary: Its like being at the movie theater....100" screen. Okay, so its not an HD clear picture, its a little grainy at the large size projection but it still pretty cool. One down side is it will not mirror your ipad2 or iphone with the included 30 pin connector cable. You will need the apple digital av adapter with HDMI out and a Standard HDMI to Micro HDMI cable. They should included that, instead they include a micro to micro hdmi cable...guess thats for those android guys.
Summary: I love this little projector, and I've used it a number of times when one wasn't available in a business setting. The resolution is sharp, and the colors pop in low-light. The size of the display itself can change, depending on how far away from the wall it is--I was able to project a movie onto a large wall in my house--though the sound made this a bit pointless, since it was coming from my phone across the room.
Summary: Fairly adequate resolution, portable. Does not always capture the entire power point slide, especially with non apple products when you use the adapter but overall I am very pleased with the quality for such a small easy to pack item
Summary: I recently took this projector on a fun trip to New Orleans. It was great being able to project the pictures from the day on the ceiling of a bar and share them with the group. It comes in really handy in lots of situations. I only wish that it could project a little brighter. The room needs to be TOTALLY dark for this to work.
Summary: If you are looking to replace a 1500 lumen projector, this isn't the product for you. If you are looking to have the most compact, hi-resolution HDMI projector available that is the same size as your Droid Razr MAXX? This is your guy. I use this as the centerpiece of my mobile home theater on family vacations as well as a back-up projector for impromptu business presentations. If you can get a room close to black, you will love this projector.
Summary: Microvision SHOWWX + HDMI laser projector is incredible!! Extremely small with such good clarity in a low-light area. You can turn any room in the house into a mini movie theater. My 15 year old daughter loves it. Sleep-overs become a party with videos and movies straight from her Ipad or Touch. Easy to get started, and with a couple additional computer speakers, it's fun time. I can't beleive this has not been the rage with teens yet.
Summary: I just recently purchased the SHOWWX+ HDMI and am very impressed with its performance for such a small size. I had the need to do impromptu presentations. The size is truly equivalent to a cell phone, but you will need to dim or turn out lights as room lighting will wash out the colors. Keep in mind when judging brightness specs with the various pico-projectors, that our eyes tend to have a logarithmic response to light so twice the lumens doesn't look twice as bright.
Summary: The first feature I like about this Pico projector is that it uses laser as a light source. Therefore, it doesn't need to be focused and there is no loud fan noise. The most annoying thing about my current Dell projector is its loud fan noise. Of course, this big and bulky projector is super bright and makes the screen really big, yet it only matters a little bit if you have a moderate or small-sized living space. It is just so easy and convenient to set.
Summary: My intent with the SHOWWX+ projector had been to use it for ad hoc website demos and presentations in semi-dim meeting rooms that didn't have projectors... it is small enough to keep with me at all times. I bought the accessory, MicroVision SHOWWX/SHOWWX+ VGA Dock Adapter , to connect it to my work laptop VGA. After some use in different environments, my opinion is that the SHOWWX+ is not quite ready for what I wanted it for yet....
