Optoma Lightware VP800 lcd projector

  • Summary: I have used projectors for many years and have used a Lightware for some time. I like the ease of set up, operation and the low cost of the replacement bulbs for this unit. It says that the bulbs last for about 70 hours and I havd only one burn out on me. This unit has a stroage area for the extra buld and they are easy to change. The only drawbacks is the noise of the cooling fan and focal distance.

  • Summary: First it's easy to operate. Then I was really impressed with the quality and picture size.I compared it to other brands that I purchased and for the money it was a super deal.I don't know why anyone would spend thousands of dollars on the expensive models.Easy to operate and cheap to maintain, I couldn't ask for more.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I bought this projector on Ebay for 150 bucks. It was money very well spent. The immage is nice and crisp. I could be a bit less noisy but that is not a big deal. Over all this projector looks good for TV, PowerPoint, and movies. So almost anything looks good on this. I strongly recomend this to everyone.

  • Summary: Problems We inherited this projector and I would love to use it but the simplistic directions that it came with do not help me with the fact that I cannot get the image to be visible on both my laptop and the screen. I've tried various settings and it is an either or proposition. It's either on just my laptop or just on the screen. I have a new laptop with Vista on it but could also not get it to work properly on a Sony Vaio either.

  • Summary: Personal Experience The vp800+ is an excellent projector for the money. I bought it for $340 and couldn't be happier. I was a little skeptical because of the relatively low lumens (300), but in a darkened room it's very clear and in a completely dark room it's perfect. Even with lights on it's viewable. Problems Dust gets behind the lens.
