Summary: I have tried several other projectors and always find myself coming back to this one. I don't know what the other people have for cable, but my cable provider has a set top box and I plug it right into this. It looks fantastic.
Summary: Personal Experience Have had this projector for 4 years, bought used (like new) on eBay for $510.00. Also had to buy remote for $35. Lamp just blew after 580 hours of usage. Don't know if lamp time had been reset prior to shipping, but it was getting dim and whites were getting saturated.
Summary: Personal Experience I have to set up quick, get it going quick and be packed up quick, and this is for me as a public speaker the best I have used for the money. I have purchased a second one as back-up but not needed it.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased the unit on ebay for $265 CDN (had 500+hrs used on the bulb), and a new 84" eletric high-definition screen for $190 (again ebay). Summary: I purchased a used unit off ebay for 350.00 with less than 460 hours on the bulb. The unit is very easy to setup up. Movies are best viewed in dark room. These projectors were not intended to replace your regular TV set!
Summary: Personal Experience Bought my X1A june 2005 and Im on my second Lamp and its still a great model for the money. Replacment lamps are very reasonably priced considering mine have lasted almost as long as they are rated for and I use this as my primary display for PC and home theatre/gaming duty...
Summary: Personal Experience I'm a novice, but after investigating a lot of projectors, I landed on this one. For $700 I got a brand new projector that was much better than most of the used ones for a similar price. And with a 400 hour lamp, it's a better deal per hour of enjoyment than other ones.
Summary: For $500, you can get a 7 foot wide high quality image onto a DIY blackout screen. You must darken the room, use the component connections and rout the audio to a separate receiver or stereo. It does take some savvy to get things right. You should also mount this to the ceiling.
Summary: Personal Experience 6/5 for value for money. Nice picture with good contrast and beautiful and rich colors. I use this projector to watch movie. It combine with a neuneo dvd player cause i can be connected 15pins to 15pins without video adapter. Im watching movie in native resolution of 800X600.
