The Infocus X10 is a great performer for the price!

Summary: This was my first projector. At that time I was considering getting a 50" plasma TV, but a friend who already owned a 720p projector "convinced me" (a simple demonstration at his place was enough) to forget about 50" screens when it comes to home cinema! I must admit, this is one of my very few purchases based solely on reviews, as I was not able to find this model anywhere on display. All the other alternatives at that time though, were -in theory- inferior to the X10.
Summary: We purchased this projector after reading raving reviews. Unfortunately once we hooked it up and started set up, vertical lines appeared through the picture making it impossible to even get through the set up. After a bit of research we found that this is a common problem with this model of projector. It can manifest at start up or after as long as 3000 hours.
Summary: Personal Experience I've used the X10 for a few months and I've had no problems or complaints at all - especially for the price point this projector is targeting. This projector is bright. So bright that I found that using my 1.1 gain screen was actually a detriment. Blacks weren't very good and colour depth was poor. The image rendered flat and I could not adjust the iris, contrast or brightness to make it better. Overall, movies had a white-wahsed look to them.
Summary: Purchased this from TigerDirect in mid July. Shipping was fast and projector arrived in great shape. Coming from a 720p projector I expected an improvement. I got what I expected and more! Great picture from this projector. Can't complain about black levels because it's pretty good. Easy to adjust for more or less black level with the iris. I have this mounted 18 feet from the screen and have a nice big 120 inch diagonal picture with great resolution, nice and bright.
Summary: Personal Experience I've had the X10 for about 3 weeks first paying it from a table then recently ceiling mounted. To my surprise the projector automatically adjusted being upside down. Right out of the box the image was bright, black's were better than I expected (this was one knock I read from reviews) and colors were rich. I did tone it down with the Iris and brightness. I was forced to use some keystoning but I don't see any picture degradation.
Summary: I'm frnakly kinda shocked there aren't any reviews for this PJ, but after weeks of research I decided to purchase one, largely based on reviews over at projector reviews dot com. 1080p, outstanding brightness for its class, and a picture as good as projectors 2-3 times the price, it's a winner. There are drawbacks like the mediocre blacks, and the goofy proprietary plug (with included adapter) and the crazy offset, but these are things I was willing to overlook.
Summary: Personal Experience I bought mine from TigerDirect at a great price. This is a excellent projector. The picture looked great right out of the box. I am completely satisfied. Problems I've only had it about three weeks but have not encountered any problems.
Summary: Personal Experience Bought it from Tigerdirect a month ago. installed it myself (Ceiling) in the basement. I did not get much time for finer adjustments. Picture quality is excellent out of the box. Connected to a BDP-51fd (Pioneer)player. I am using a 125" screen (Elite). Screen positioning was a little challenging because of the throw distance. Problems 1080p/24 frames works great.
Summary: Even though the X10 uses the DarkChip1 DMD you would'nt know it with the contrast level on screen it has a bright clean picture thats just short of stunning right out of the box needs very minor to no adjustments to get the best picture infocus have indeed done a great job with this model I would recomment this model to all because you will not find better for your money.
Summary: Sehr guter DLP Full HD Projektor mit Top P/L Verhältnis.
