Summary: The projector works well and arrived in excellent condition. The slow boot/shut down time is annoying but after you get used to it the projector functions properly. The picture quality is very bright.
Summary: I have borrowed a $700 projector from work for a party to show movies in the backyard. So I was skeptical of what kind of quality this would be. It was great!! Not perfect but great for outdoor night movies. You do need a dark setting but I'd highly recommend it.
Summary: I have an 80" inch screen in my bedroom with this thing with windows media center. It is the best picture ever, I think it plays even better than my HDTV at this large of screen. For the price, this is the projector to get.
Summary: Personal Experience this is a wonderful product i have had no problems with this unit ,cleaning the unit is a must ,i clean bulb housing at least every 3 months ,also cleaning the color wheel is something that should be done a few times, other viewers may have had faulty units but cleaning and...
Summary: Personal Experience THE X1 AND X1A PROJECTORS ARE BY FAR THE BEST ALL AROUND PROJECTOS OUT THERE. I BUY NOTHING ELSE AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, THESE PROJECTORS ARE SO CHEAP FORGET CUSTOMER SERVICE. I LOVE INFOCUS X1 AND X1A'S Problems NONE
Summary: Personal Experience This thing is amazing. I bought it because it was easier than hauling a huge tv up three flights of steep stairs and its proven to be great. Its probably a bit much to have a 7' screen in a 1 BR apartment, but the picture quality is awesome!
Summary: Personal Experience Well my X1 started making the grinding sound that so many others have reported. After much complaining, Infocus agreed to fix it under guarantee. 1500 hours later and it has started again. I wrote a friendly email, saying that the replaced part had failed again.
Summary: Personal Experience I did my homework before buying the projector and the x1 came up on top of the list. Right price, amazing picture quality and great reviews. I was impressed! So I went ahead and bought it, Jan. 2004 ($999). First bulb lasted 2000 hrs (not bad I thought), picture was great.
