Summary: I love this 720p projector, I have friends who has purchased a 1080p projector from another brands and this infocus kicks them!, the sharpness and brightness, accurate and saturated colors and contrast are really amazing, you will really enjoy a movie with it, red, green and black colors are beatyfull . I have a small projection room and I get a 100" diagonal screen, is pretty amazing.
Summary: Personal Experience Nice pictures and easy to manage BUT to noisy for normal film-viewing. In all a good experience BUT unfortunately it broke down Problems Have used it for 3 years now (1100 hours) but suddenly it shows vertical stripes with 10 cm distance. Manufacturer means that it will be to expensive to repair compared to buying a new projector. That is a rather quick loss of a 5000 $ investment (price when it was released).
Summary: Personal Experience This is an upgrade from a Infocus SP 4800 which I owned for the last 2 years. And because of that, I'm a little disappointed with the image quality of this PJ. Sincerely, IQ is under my spectations. And the reason is because I keep on using it for watching DVD's and 586i Digital TV, and for this pourposes, there isn't a considerable improvement and even more: the theoretical benefit of higher detailed more color saturated images, is compensated by...
Summary: Personal Experience I gone through 5 different projectors and 7205 is by far the best projector I have owned.I bought it online for less than $2500 and couldn't be happier!I have been watching my DVD,s all over again.I am projecting it onto a Stewart studiotek 130 screen and even with a gain of 1.3 the blacks are excellent and the bright sceens pop off the screen.I have read reviews in different magazines and they have said you would be hard pressed to find a better...
Summary: Personal Experience I have had the 7205 for several months now and have over 200hrs on it.I use it with a Da-lite 106" screen and the picture is stunning and continues to impress. At my SuperBowl party the comments were still coming in the 3rd quarter about the picture(these are from friends who own plasmas).I have visited some stores since to see the "latest greatest" and don't find the images to be better which makes me even happier with my purchase.
Summary: Personal Experience Picture is great when using DVI. Would like to have had a HDMI socket. Problems I have had my 7205 for just over the 90 day lamp warrenty and guess what......the lamp exploded in less then 60 hrs. As the lamp went BANG no doult they will want it back. What damage has it done inside ???? When I tried to register it the web page said the serial number did not matcm the model.
Summary: Personal Experience My friend and I each bought these projectors at the same time mine has 150hrs and his has 550hrs on it ,Both produce an outstanding image rich in color and excellent black levels only minor calibration needed right out of the box,I will give my friends 7205 a slight edge over mined due to the fact he is using HDMI versus My Analog component connection , We are both using the Vutec Sliver Star I have to say its a beiutiful combination!
Summary: Personal Experience The motor/fan on this projector is too noisy for a home theater if you are sitting anywhere within about 15ft. Everything else is good. Unfortunately, I may have no choice but to replace mine since its 4 ft over my head.
Summary: Personal Experience I have a little over 200 hours on the lamp and it needs to be replaced, the warrenty stated 90 days or 500 hours, In Focus wants me to send them the projector and see if some thing is wrong with out projector for three weeks!!!
Summary: Personal Experience I bought the Mt-800 (7205 by toshiba) in October and man am I happy with it. I have a Pioneer DV-47Ai DVD player hooked up to it and I'm impressed. I've done a lot of looking around at different setups and such, but so far this is the best I've seen, and it's mine. The only thing I'm kinda bummed about is the fact there's no firmware update for the Toshiba model and there is for the InFocus.
