Summary: Outstanding Projector for both Large and Small venues. It is also a SUPERB Home Theater Projector with the DLP Technology and 1080i for High Definition projection, you get a crystal clear picture. If you are looking for a High End projector at a very reasonable price, the Infocus LP-650 is the one to buy.
Summary: Personal Experience The LP650 picture quality and features are good. The reliability has been extremely bad. We purchased 10 LP650 units in 2003, and have 4 units fail (power supply) shortly after the warranty expired - unbelievable. We will no longer purchase Infocus products.
Summary: Personal Experience Perfect picture, showed hardly any image defects, watched Star Wars war perfectly. When watching on big screens it showes the lens problem that side up is focussed and bottom part not. To gain perfect focus in the middle of the screen, one should not look at the edges. Problems Due to the mechanical/manual focus, once the machine gets warm the focus might get off.
Summary: Personal Experience We have owned this unit for 1yr now and had 3 bulbs through it around 250 hrs each time. Only used at night in cool area. Very expensive to run, has also been back three times under warranty new main boards !
Summary: Personal Experience We have experienced an unbelievably high rate of failure with the bulbs and the projectors. Out of ten class room installations, we have had bulb failures at about 300-400 hours in all but one room and have had at least six of the projectors fail as well. This has to be one of the most unreliable projectors on the market!!! Problems See above.
Summary: Personal Experience Purchased 3 - Good when they work they are not reliable units Problems Have returned one unit to be repaired twice for same problem each time within 6 months of purchasing - faulty mainboard. Second unit is ceiling mounted - hangs during shutdown process and inverts image on start-up on a regular basis.
