Summary: this projector has a very good quality picture, very easy to operate and easy to transport due to size and weight.the price was right, but any increase in price would have swayed me to purchase a bramd new unit with all the warranties. the cost of a replacement bulb is more than I paid for the unit. mine came with a good bulb which had 277hours of use on it. (supposedly).
Summary: It's a quality projector, especially for the deal I got. Easy to use with a very crisp, bright picture. Two minor issues: I went for higher lumens understanding that I may be able to use it in the light, not so much...couldn't see a thing in daylight. Also have to restart the computer after hooking it up, for some reason it doesn't recognize the connection without restart, but not a big deal if I know it's needed.
Summary: Personal Experience Bulb life around 100 hours! Infocus was willing to "fix" it while it was under warranty, but each time I got it back (3 times!) after another 100 or so hours... POOF! Bulb is fried! Hard to believe they "fixed" anything. Picture quality is good- enjoyed many movies. But at $400+ for each bulb I am done. Now that warranty has expired, Infocus' only solution is to send it in again and for $355 they will "fix" it. What?!
Summary: Personal Experience 3rd lamp just shattered at 630 hours. I cannot justify spending $400 each time for what appears to be a design flaw. System was retrofitted with new power-supply under warrenty. It has gone through two LP5F lamps since. Problems Unit is installed inverted on the ceiling with a Chief projector mount. It is never moved, shaken, or vibrated. I an only imagine how poorly this unit would perform in a portable situation. InFocus made a very poor projector.
Summary: Personal Experience We use our projector 1 hr every Sunday and the rest of the week it sits. Had the projector 4 years and this is the second time the bulb is replaced!! DO THE MATH!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!
Summary: Personal Experience Nothing but problems--bulb failure, power supply problems. Inage quality is good, but everything else is average or bad. Optional module for expanding features is a waste of money. Problems Power supply problems and lamp failure problems. One replacement lamp failed with fewer than 20 hours on it, thanks to faulty power supply. Infocus technical support for this projector is lousy. One lemon of a projector.
Summary: Personal Experience I have had mine for 4 years now and have had no problems. I found this site while I googled for a new lamp. the one in there now has 2451 hours on it not ever using eco mode and it is prob time I bought a new one. As someone else wrote, the remote lense falls off after a while, cost me $4 for a new one and $1 for crazy glue to make sure it doesn't fall off and go up the vacuum cleaner like the last one. Problems None.
Summary: Personal Experience I cannot believe that people on here have complained about lamp life!! My units have consistantly delivered over 3000 hours per lamp. It is all down to the version number of the machine.. If the leading digit of the last 5 digits of the serial # is 9, then all is wonderful and it is a good machine. If it is 0, then it is bad. We had all our machines replaced by InFocus under warranty due to the problems they had with early units..
