Summary: Great little projector with tons of features BUT I give 4 Stars as the replacement lamps cost $150+. The good news is a Lamp is supposed to last 2000 hours. Having been a traveling trainer for 11 years, I've been around many projectors of various makes and I can say the quality and craftsmanship of this little projector is VERY good. I bought my projector used here on Amazon from a wonderful seller and I'm quite happy with it. Would I pay $850 for it new?
Summary: I, too, got the "projector won't strike" error the first day I used it, which was a bummer...and the only reason this isn't a five star review. This was about seven years ago, and InFocus customer care took care of getting me an RMA and had it back to me in a few weeks (which is too long.) After that, the thing has been flawless. I've used it for seven years, not especially frequently, but it gets lugged everywhere.
Summary: works well in a dim light and great in the dark, and its small size is very convinient. At first it kept losing the image from the computer, after i set all four sources to computer in settings it did not lose it anymore
Summary: The projector works very well and is light and easy to pack when I hit the road. It automatically adjusts when used by different computers and you can resize the images based on the size and distance of the screen.
Summary: Personal Experience Although I love the size of the unit and the quality of the picture, it is a high maintenance item. Constant mechanical problems and lack of support from InFocus. You will be waiting forever when trying to reach them for techical assistance. I recomend staying away from this unit and from InFocus. Problems Constant problems. Expensive replacement bulbs, fan problems, fan control board problems, lack of support from InFocus.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this projector used from a PC liquidator for $100, so I have not had it since it was unboxed. I purchased this projector for my DIY home theater so it gets used to play movies and games. When I purchased the projector, the bulb was burned out, so I purchased a new one from InFocus for around $400.
Pros: Small, and easy to carry. Projects a clear bright image.
Cons: This handy little projector is full of suprises, and will spend a lot of time in the shop. Once is is out of warranty its a throw away, as repairs are expensive and short-term. If you use this for business like I do, carry a spare. I work with a group of trainers, and the LP120 has been a headache for everyone on our team.
Summary: I read the reviews. I was a bit skeptical. I was looking for a machine that I could use for both work and play, and I even purchased this item as a refurb so you can imagine that I was a bit scared about what I'd end up with. By the way, if you go to professional AV sites and see what they say about this product, you get a more balanced review that looks at the capabilities of the product.
Summary: Personal Experience A delightful little machine spoilt only by unacceptable colour rendition and unsatisfactory customer service. Problems First machine delivered was DOA (some membrane keys on control panel didn't work). Infocus EMEA don't allow DOAs to be replaced via dealer, instead had to be handled as a warranty claim. Replacement took almost a week. Colour rendition is unacceptabble.
