Don't Pay Extra for Wi-Fi Capabilities

Jason R. Owens, Amazon
20 January 2015
  • Summary: Worked as advertised right out of the box. Paid extra for this model because it has wi-fi capability. Bought the extra wi-fi dongle for $29 and change. You have to go to Pittsburgh by the way of Erie to get the wi-fi capabilities to work. Clunky as all get out. NOT impressed. A person can show slides using wi-fi with no problem, but do not expect that you will be able to stream video to any degree of success while using wi-fi.

Good Projector for the Money. Sharp colors and Bright Picture.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 October 2014
  • Summary: This projector is an excellent deal for the price. We purchased six of them to replace old 2,200 lumens projectors in use with our school smartboards. Every teacher was shocked when they saw how much brighter the new projectors are. As one reviewer said, you do lose some of the screen size when you use HDMI (since HDMI defaults to widescreen adding blank areas at the top and bottom of the image).

Bang for the buck (for my application anyway)

J.T.M. "Recovering NYC Commuter", Amazon

  • Summary: Works great for Optishot! Absolutely no complaints using this for a short throw project for a golf sim driven by an Optishot. Works flawlessly and perfectly for this application. Not real good for TV, but for a computer monitor type application running fairly low complexity video, it works great. Purchased as an open box through Amazon's Warehouse and the value it is deliver at the price paid is excellent.

Excellent throw distance

Angel, B&H Photo
30 September 2014
  • Excerpt: I like the distance needed for a 100" screen, about 4ft. Internal memory is excelent, no need a computer or usb drive. Video player is only good, when you use a 1920 or 1280 video sometimes is a little slow or choppy. 3300 lumnes of brightness is perfect for my needs.
  • Pros: Short Throw
  • Cons: Slow On Hd Video
