Excerpt: This projector was simple to setup out of the box. Currently using it in a ceiling mount configuration, it works like a dream. The high contrast ratio keeps it looking great in a medium ambient light scenario. It is also quiet and compact. I highly recommend this for high contrast presentations. Its color clarity isn't as strong for video.
Summary: Great little projector that gives very good color for the price. Pros: Sharp image, even to the edges and corners. Even better looking if the screen has a frame. Light weight Price True colors Cons: No box or case! Fan is kind of loud Leg adjustment is awkward and weird (I find it's better to prop with magazines or books to get the angle I want) Limited zoom ability Most blu-rays will need a vga to rgb adaptor
Summary: I needed a projector to show Power Point presentations in a hurry and I did not have a lot of money. I had borrowed two projectors that I did not like. One was a Dell about the size of the InFocus, but it was not clear around the edges. The other was an old machine that did a great job but was huge. The IN114 DLP exactly fit my bill. It is compact, easy to set up and use and the image is crystal clear. It also came at a great price.
Summary: It was not clear on the site that the IN116 model would allow HDMI connection so I could use my Blu-Ray DVD player. The limitation with this model is that it can only connect directly with a computer using VGA style connections so it limits the media I could use with it. The short-throw capability that I was searching for allowed me to use it to project customized software unto my house for Halloween as I intended.
