Summary: The HP MP3220 projector had everything I needed at the time. It is a great projector for what I use it for - mainly slideshows, etc. I have connected it to a DVD and stereo system and it works beautifully. It could use some more connectors in the back but other than that I am very happy with it.
Summary: I recently found myself without the ability to borrow a computer projector for presentations. Those who have used them for PowerPoint and other know without one it is just about impossible to "get your message across". Being an avid eBay seller and buyer I logically did a search and up popped this very small and light weight HP MP3220 projector. The seller indicated clearly it had been used and even mentioned a slight flicker when playing DVD movies.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this item from ebay for £300, having only 100hours lamp use, which was a bargain. Would def. fork out the £1000 price tag for a new one though. On HPs site they've just discontinued this product, but replaced it with a brighter (2,400 lumens) model that seems pretty similar apart from that and the extended lamp life in lamp saver mode.
Summary: Personal Experience The HP MP3220 is an excellent little projector for presentations and general use. I have mine ceiling-mounted at home for HT purposes, and it doesn't dissapoint. The unit works excellently right out of the box, and the image quality is at least "as good" or even better than comparable products on the market. The advertised 2000 lumens is definitely accurate-- this projector is more than sufficiently bright.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this unit as a TV replacement/home theater projector. The image is bright and crisp for PC use through its VGA input only and fairly decent for 480p/i through a component cable, though a component/VGA breakout adapter is needed for that. I'm pleased with its light weight and easy-to-use features but at the same time disappointed with my decision to select this model from so many others. It definitely is great value for the buck for PC use.
Summary: Personal Experience I have 2 of these projectors and they are just right. Light weight, easy setup, 3k hours on the lamp and only $200. to replace the lamp. Lots of light even on a 14' screen. I keep one in my truck all the time. Problems I was not able to get the component input to work but it looks fine on s-video so oh well.
