Summary: Personal Experience This projector worked flawlessly for about a year ... suddenly it got stuck in warm-up mode with a flashing blue light. I'd say for the cost of this projector...it's life span is less than appealing - it broke before the first bulb expired. While the Epson customer service tried to be accommodating with the return ... there were several hurdles and working my way up the supervisor chain with support - the answers remained canned and didn't help.
Summary: Personal Experience "Waiting for my 3rd 6010 in 16 months. Based on advice of my AV company I purchased this projector for custom home theater setup with 7.2 Thx. My 2nd refurb 6010 is in route. I've had home theater setups since 1999 with top of line av in 3 homes in different states and never used Epson before -- so very unhappy. Rep refused to send me a new 6020 even after I offered to pay any difference. Look closely at other options before buying Epson for HT.
Summary: pros...I really love this projector. It comes with all the goodies you need to hook it right up. The brightness is amazing. Colors are awesome. I've had a home theater projector for several years. I really love this projector. I would recommend this projector to anyone. pro features; quiet, beautiful on screen color, love the standby mode which turns off and on my blu-ray player and my receiver, also the lens cover which opens and closes automatically, lots and lots of...
Summary: I purchased this unit because it got very good reviews, the price was in the range I was looking to spend, It was a very well packaged deal that included a ceiling mount, spare bulb and 2 pair of 3D glasses, it is one of the few THX certified projectors. The only negative I see is that it is a bit bulky, but not anymore then other high end projectors. The positives are easy setup, awesome bright picture, great color, very quiet unit.
Summary: I purchased this for my man cave and also purchased a Black Diamond 108 inch screen. I am amazed at the qualtiy. It is equal or better than my 55 inch samsung. I have had two issues with the projector and in each case, one call to customer service a new machine was on the way, overnight service plus free return. An expensive TV yes, but I gave up my season football tickets since I can see the games much better live.
Summary: Personal Experience Absolutely amazing projector. FullHD 3D with brilliant contrast ratio and feature packed, all for a very low price if compared to the same base feature set only a year ago. Upgrading from a Optoma HD66, everything stands out. Primarily used for movie's off Blu-Ray and AppleTV, I couldn't see the quality being much better than this.
Summary: Personal Experience Just bought the Epson 6010 after month's of comparing 3D t.v's along with projector's. For the money , screen size and picture quality you get with this projector it was a no brainer. Absolutely amazing 3D and 2D picture. Sorry movie theatres I will not be back.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased the Epson Powerlite Pro Cinema 6010 to replace a Sanyo PLV-Z60 which was only rated at 720p/1200 Lumens but had excellent contrast and image quality. I was very excited to be improving both resolution and brightness. When I connected the projector I was simply amazed at the overall picture. It was so much brighter and the image was far more detailed.
Summary: Personal Experience I just bought it and had it professionally installed. I am using a 92 inch quality screen with 1.3 gain. The picture is not crisp and the whites over shadow everything giving the picture a washed out look. The room must be completely dark if you want a better picture. Plus, the 3d makes me a little dizzy. I called customer support and they could not help. I suggest you buy a 80 inch TV if you want a crisp clear picture.
