Summary: Personal Experience Had a great picture when it was working we did like the picture quality and the quietness of the first one..Would I buy another Epson?? Will see how all this turns out.. Problems Problems..let me tell you..the first unit lasted 1 year.quite working and red light flasing..they replaced it with a referb unit that was noisier then the origianl one right from day one.Replacement did come fairly quickly..now this one faled the same as the first one..
Summary: Personal Experience Though these projectors are a few years old, I purchased a used one about a month ago. I was prepared for below average black levels, but am stunned just how great they are. Rich/deep colors, very defined picture, fabulous black levels, even on a 106" screen. I would be very surprised if any other projector shows me a noticeable difference for any money. The footprint is big, and this projector is best in a light controlled room (ie.
Summary: Absolutely an excellent projector. Easy to set up and auto controls were a breeze. Have installed in dedicated theater with 23 feet to screen. Picture is excellent, more than sufficient brightness and adjustments for horizontal and vertical skew were a blessing. The free additional projector bulb (although it hasn't arrived yet) is also a big plus. No complaints other than it is white rather than dark grey or black, and stands out against a dark ceiling.
Summary: Personal Experience I have had the unit for ~9 months now, and I am still thrilled with it. Sharpness is excellent, colors are vivid and contrast is good. My only complaint is with the black level, but I understand that the new upgraded unit addresses this issue. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade. :) Problems None really.
