We were so disappointed we returned the projector

desertzephyr, Bestbuy
11 January 2012
  • Summary: The image had a halo around it and the keystone not only straightened the sides of the image, but shortened the vertical size considerably.
  • Pros: High image brightness
  • Cons: Bright halo surrounding the image

Not so great for business

msjones, Amazon

  • Summary: This projector works fine for playing dvd/movies, but not for powerpoint presentations from dvd or thumb-drive. It sounds good: "just put in your dvd or thumb-drive", but doens't work well with those items. It will only play a powerpoint from a laptop. I've had to break out my 10 yr old Toshiba several times just to play a powerpoint.

Hard to work

scott, Epson
2 December 2011
  • Summary: First of all, this machine does not play powerpoint without converting the powerpoint before you use it, either on a thumb drive or dvd. I bought this specifically for powerpoint and video presentations and now I have to convert everything before it can be used. I usually just get out my 10 yr old Toshiba to use because the "old technology" of that does not require conversion. I guess it would be fine for showing purchased dvd movies but not much else.

PowerLite

  • Summary: While I eventually got past the stumbling block of incorrect or insufficient instructions and the projector will now do what I needed, it took two days of playing with and experimentation by someone who is familiar with projectors and computers. Unsure I wish to repeat the process and would not recommend to someone with no technical background. Quick Setup instructions were vague in details.
