Summary: Personal Experience Switched from a standard to my first HD projector. Everything about this projector great. Large zoom lens allows you to use it in small as well as large rooms. The horizontal/vertical lens shift allow you to place it in less than optomal places. Pleanty of keystone ability. Colors and clarity are excellent. It is pretty easy to use.
Summary: The picture quality and performance is superior. My only concern was after only 66 hours the lamp blew out. I contacted the company and they immediately replaced the lamp and no charge. I will just have to see how long this one lasts in hopes the first one was just a defective one from the start. Over all again the quality and performance is superior.
Summary: I give excellent rating for this product because it amazed me by it's qualities - stunning bright picture, low noise, high definition movies look just amazing! It gives 1080p resolution picture with 1800 lumen light intensity. Contrast ratio is also high. Pros: Bright and detailed picture Low fan noise Perfect value for money (through Ebay i purchased it 400usd below recommended retail price) so this ratio for me is even higher Cons: -Lens of projector projects too...

Summary: I was interested in the Epson 8100 projector for my customer recommendations and, possibly, for myself. I'm an ISF ([...]) certified calibrator and I decided to do some research on the product. Reading through the reviews on other sites and on Amazon, this projector was one of the best of it's class but... I was taken aback on the small but vociferous number of customers unhappy about the 4,000 hour rated lamp failing in as few as 400 hours.
Summary: I use this projector in a semi-light controlled room, mostly for blu-ray movies. It is an excellent value for an all-around amazing product. - Projects a bright image, visible clearly in my living room (multiple windows, with non-blackout curtains, about the light level of a movie theater before the movie starts). - Very quiet. - Easily handle picture offset, to a degree. Instead of the trapezoid image adjustments, you move the lens to offset the picture.
Summary: If you have a lot of room in your home and you are looking for a video system, you must not doubt in buy this video bean. I bought it and I was surprised by quality in image, it was clear and sharpy with excellent color balance. This device is friendly. I take it to my house and my family and I are very happy. The only caveat is the lamp price, so you must be very careful with its handle.
Summary: Personal Experience Wow! This projector is so worth the money! This is my first PJ and I am so glad that I picked the Epson. I went back and forth with several different models, but decided on the Epson because of the lens shift and zoom features. Out of the box, literally, I had the PJ up and running in minutes, connected to my HTPC.
Summary: Personal Experience I received my Epson 8100 to replace my Sanyo PLV-Z4 which served me well for the last 4 years and I have to admit the Epson 8100 is way stronger, better lumens, better color. This is what I was expecting from my upgrade. For the price you can't go wrong. So far so good, I have no problem with the bulb like some do but I clean my filter twice a month. Epson support is great ! Don't let people scare you because their lamp exploded or died.
