Very Reliable, Great Picture, Quiet, Affordable, and a Beautiful Design
3 August 2012
Summary: This is a reliable and affordable (purchased used) home theatre projector. It has great picture quality, runs quietly and is very versatile. The keystone controls are great and allow for placements other than directly in front of your screen. I have owned this projector for almost 2 years and never had a problem. We replaced the first lamp at 2200hrs but that bulb still had life. Replacement bulb was found on eBay for just over $100.
Summary: An awesome projector for any price, but you can pick one of these up for a reasonable price. Its bright with vivid color and great contrast. There are newer and supposedly better projectors out there but why spend the extra just to have the latest model. All that really matters is the picture ! As soon as my son saw the picture he said that looks just like the tv, good enough for me.
Summary: This replaced an older Dell DLP 1024x768 unit. In addition to upgrading to 1080p, we no longer have to deal with the rainbow effect or loosing the detail of darker scenes. It is also quieter than the older unit, which was fairly quiet to begin with. The unit is a bit bigger than I had expected, but its white like the ceiling, so it stands out no more than the older gray unit.
Summary: Personal Experience Absolutely Stunning Blu-ray quality.... I have the front lens of the projector 16' ft from the 106" diagonal screen which I believe has a 1.3 gain. The projector is mounted at the same height as the top of the screen therefore obviously projecting downward and the lens perfectly compensates for the downward angle. One of the main reasons for selecting the projector was its variable throw distance of 10ft to 22ft in order to project 106" image.
Summary: This projector is awesome - beautiful picture! I'm sure the new 2009 model will be even better. The lens shift is very good and it auto keystone corrects so you can place it almost anywhere.[...
