6 years and counting

david hurtado, Amazon
21 March 2015
  • Summary: I've had this projector for about 6 years and have used it almost daily. The picture quality is still perfect after all these years. The bulbs last about 1 1/2-2 1/2 years, depending on use. I use it a lot, so I have to replace them about every 2 years. The colors are superb, the dark scenes are crisp but get darker as your bulb is ready to go out. One of my favorite things about this projector is that it's very quiet.

Excellent and durable projector

Jeffrey W. Zentner, Amazon

  • Summary: This was my second projector, after the Optoma H57. I bought it in 2008, and it's still going strong. The picture is sharp and fairly bright. It was the top choice for the Editor's award back when I bought it. I will likely get another Epson for my next projector since this one worked out so well. Even now, 6 years later, people come over and are impressed with the setup. The one I bought was the black pro model.

  • Summary: Wonderful projector, The crispy and rich colorful pictures but the only desires to add personally were higher Ansi Lumen lamp and 3D function which it doesn't have. In a word, this is a fantastic projector , Yes I've been using it almost for 5 years. I love it and I just ordered Epson 6030UB which is on the way tomorrow.

Very Reliable, Great Picture, Quiet, Affordable, and a Beautiful Design

  • Summary: This is a reliable and affordable (purchased used) home theatre projector. It has great picture quality, runs quietly and is very versatile. The keystone controls are great and allow for placements other than directly in front of your screen. I have owned this projector for almost 2 years and never had a problem. We replaced the first lamp at 2200hrs but that bulb still had life. Replacement bulb was found on eBay for just over $100.

  • Summary: An awesome projector for any price, but you can pick one of these up for a reasonable price. Its bright with vivid color and great contrast. There are newer and supposedly better projectors out there but why spend the extra just to have the latest model. All that really matters is the picture ! As soon as my son saw the picture he said that looks just like the tv, good enough for me.

Very Happy

crabbytenor, Ebay
3 February 2011
  • Summary: This replaced an older Dell DLP 1024x768 unit. In addition to upgrading to 1080p, we no longer have to deal with the rainbow effect or loosing the detail of darker scenes. It is also quieter than the older unit, which was fairly quiet to begin with. The unit is a bit bigger than I had expected, but its white like the ceiling, so it stands out no more than the older gray unit.

  • Summary: While the projector was a little bigger than I was expecting, the picture is outstanding. Even in rooms with the lights on, the picture is still very high quality.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Absolutely Stunning Blu-ray quality.... I have the front lens of the projector 16' ft from the 106" diagonal screen which I believe has a 1.3 gain. The projector is mounted at the same height as the top of the screen therefore obviously projecting downward and the lens perfectly compensates for the downward angle. One of the main reasons for selecting the projector was its variable throw distance of 10ft to 22ft in order to project 106" image.
