Summary: Personal Experience I have been playing my ps2 games on this thing since i was young about 10 to 15 or so years ago and has never been so pleased with a projector. I may upgrade to the newer epson powerlite model with 2xhdmi and 1080p native resolution but for now i am playing on my ps3 and xbox 360 with a 82 inch pull-up screen and it looks amazing.
Summary: Personal Experience Well have been using it over a week and so far I am surprised at it quality relative to price. got it for 1000$ CND not bad eh! I am extremely pleased with the projector except that why the screen door effect and the bulb only last for 3000 hours compared to other newer models that last for 5000 hours.........But otherwise it is the best entry level projector money can buy Problems Screen door effect!!!
Summary: Personal Experience I have owned this unit for over one year without any problems. Just changed the first bulb after over 3000 hrs. Quick and easy to change bulb and filter. Mostly used for Xbox Live and HDTV Excellent unit. will probably sell this one to my brother and get Epsons newer model with HDMI next. Problems None in over a year of use.
Summary: Personal Experience Bought this projector mainly for the price/reviews/massive zoom. I have it linked up to my PC. It has very good colours. I get a 10ft x 6ft picture on the wall from a 12ft wide room in the stretched widescreen mode-fantastic for games. You do need blackout blinds to stop daylight from outside washing the picture out. Screendoor is noticeable when you look for it. Everyone who's seen it has been very, very impressed.
Summary: Personal Experience This is the second projector I've purchased, the first being the Infocus X1a which I'd read great reviews of.After trying that out for the first time when it arrived from order I was left with mixed feelings. There was no "rainbow" effect, but the native 4:3 ratio made me wish Id gone for 16:9 instead, especially as I only intend to watch DVD's on it.So after more review reading I decided the EPSON was my best choice since both projectors were the same...
Summary: Personal Experience Just bought this projector for S$ 1399 or USD 870 at IT Show 2005 Singapore. Forgo The Home 10+ as it was S$1799 or USD 1110. It really lived up to the good reviews given here. Even with 1000 lumens the projectors was bright enough in ambient condition. Colour was REALLY BRILLIANT! The first DVD I put on (5 minutes out of the box) was a cartoon which my son watch half way on my good TV. My wife go "Wow, good colour!".
Summary: Personal Experience Update from April 30 post --1,000+ hours and still extremely happy with the Epson - clean the filter and lens on a bi monthly basis and everything is great - should have the HTPC built shortly and can't wait for Gran Turismo 4 Problems zero, nada, zilch
Summary: Personal Experience Easy to setup. Easy to use. I project on a white wall and for my first projector a nice experience with movies. DVD Progressive with component cables is perfect. Composite is normal. Problems Me and a few other in the netherlands have startup problems. Random the projector does not fire up with a buzzing sound in the front. The red light flashes. Taking the bulb out and back in solves the problem, but that is anoiing if it is on the ceiling.
Summary: Personal Experience I have bought the epson 10+ because of the good postings on this site, I'm from Buenos Aires, Agentina and paid u$s1800 for it. The image is very good but only if I feed it with DVD and composite cables if not it has their things to watch for but nothing special.
