Summary: I HAVE THIS MOVIE PROJECTOR. FROM THE FIRST OR 2ND. MONTH THE AUTO IRIS COMES IN. I TURNED OFF THE PROJECTOR, AND THEN THE AUTO IRIS GOES OUT, AND EPSON LOGO APPEARS, AND IT GOES OK. NOW, I HAVE THIS FOR 2 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS. THIS MAY 2014, THE LAMP/FAN STARTED TO BLINK IN RED, ANY PROJECTION.
Summary: I've enjoyed it and want to recomend it but I've gone through 2 lamps in less than 3 years averaging 1200 hours each, so can't. Epson was great about sending a free replacement lamp the 1st time.
Summary: Short and sweet.....Had bulb issues(3-4)with my 8100 so I returned it to get the 8350. Once again I went through several bulbs on the 8350 getting about 700 hours life on each. Finally Epson said it must be a an issue with the projector.
Summary: This is a good projector but not a great one. The first bulb went out at 946 hours. Epson did send a "one time replacement free bulb" but if this one last only 25% of the expected life I will be very unhappy.
Summary: This is a great projector as long as the bulb lasts. This model was purchased based on the recommendation of a family member who owned the same model for less than a year. Within the first 1 1/2 years of each of us owning them, the projectors blew their bulbs.
Summary: I loved this projector. I anticipated having to replace the lamp in two years and figured that expense into my decision. I did not anticipate having to replace it within six months and did not have that in my budget. Consequently, we have been without a television for three months.
Summary: This projector was great until 45 min into using it a message came on the screen that the unit was heating up and we shut it off. The fan was then set to high altitude (caused a bit more noise), however it still heated up. I emailed support and the answer was vacuum the filter.
Summary: Great projector to cut your teeth on. Bright, great picture, awesome input lag times and most of all very affordable. Just be aware of all the issues that are happening with this projector as far as mis aligned focus, auto iris errors, dust blobs and premature bulb failure.
