Epson 8350 HC Projector

Rossk4, Adorama
8 December 2013
  • Excerpt: I was very excited when I bought this projector. The picture quality was very good and I use it as my primary display device. I use it on a 120" fixed screen. The problem with this projector is the lamps. I was able to use my original lamp for a bout 5 months before it became so dim it was unwatchable. The next lasted about 3 months. The next lasted about 2 months. Now the lamps are too dim after a month. Even out of the box the replacement lamps are quite dim.

Works until it breaks

Nelson, Amazon
31 August 2013
  • Summary: 9/3/13 - Epson says they do not give refunds for defective projectors since they are only the manufacturer. The projector is not built to last. The picture was great when I first purchased it but a month ago, a green spot appeared after turning it on with a second one appearing a few days later. I contacted Epson technical support who sent me a replacement projector since it is still warranty which I received on Thursday August 22nd.

Do Not Waste Your Money

M. Baughn, Amazon
30 August 2013
  • Summary: No matter great of a deal you find on the 8350, don't buy it. You're buying a projector that, at anytime will suddenly not work. You will get an "Error with Auto Iris" which prevents you from using the PJ. At first you will be able to simply restart the PJ and it will work. Gradually it will take more and more restarts until eventually it will not work at all. You will spend days researching the issue. Eventually you will take the PJ apart thinking you can fix it.
