Summary: Personal Experience I service projectors and EPSON are the ones that are the most reliable and repairable. The picture quality is ouststanding on this model. Just as good as high end projector weighing over 20 Lbs! If you can find one my only advice would be to BUY IT WITHOUT BLINKNG AN EYE.
Summary: The Epson PowerLite 740c LCD Projector is an excellent projector. It is small and bright enough to show a presentation in a room that has sunlight streaming in. There is no need to pull the shades. It cycles down quickly. As a teacher in a poor area where we have to self purchase any equipment we use, this is by far the best projector that I have purchased. Three previous LCD projectors were more expensive and far less effective.
Summary: Personal Experience i guess Im the only one that has given their 2 cents about this projector. Im the first review. Back in 06 i bought this used but practically new with ten or so hours on it. Now , jan 3rd 2009, I have , wait let me go look, 19hours on high and 616 hours on low, It hasnt let me down once. It has spoiled me, with my 100 inch screen and surround sound, I dont enjoy traditional movie theaters anymore.
Summary: Personal Experience I just got this and it seems to have a high pitch ringing while using it, very annoying. Super bright though. White scrolling or stationary Text has color changing pixel effect. Image quality is using s-video input. I had a sharp xge1200u, This is way better than the sharp, screen door effect is minimal and the brightness is unbelieveable! Problems Aside from the high pitch ringing sound, nothing yet.
