The Little Projector That Could

Free C., Newegg
1 October 2010
  • Summary: This is a great projector for conference rooms and small applications like that. I would not use it in a large auditorium, but it gets the job done quite nicely for us in our medium-sized youth room. Excellent little projector, one of the best at its price point.
  • Pros: This is a great little project. It is very bright and versatile. It displays a large image even at a short distance. It is very light weight and portable.
  • Cons: It does lack detail in darker images, but this often the case for projectors at this price point. Overall, it projects a very good image. Also, there is not HDMI-which would have been nice-but remember, this is not a home theatre projector.

Epson Powerlite 1716

  • Summary: Very well priced projector. Very compact and easy portability. This projector can be viewed in rooms that are well lit. But as always the darker/dimmer the room the better. With 2700 lumens it's very bright. Picture quality is quite good.

Epson 1716 Projector

Stuart Schneider "Author of books on collecti..., Amazon
21 June 2010
  • Summary: It is very bright, so much so that it shows some of the flaws in my photographs. Luckily, the projectors brightness can be reduced, which also lengthens the life of the bulb. It is meant to be used very close to the screen. The lens is very wide angle.

Good Projector, so-so zoom

Michael Anderson, Amazon
16 May 2010
  • Summary: I bought this projector for training. Nice size and easy to set up. The USB set-up does NOT work with my Apple so Mac users beware. The zoom capability could be better. You have to move the projector close to the screen as it does not zoom DOWN well.
