Good picture but unit is little loud.

  • Summary: The wireless feature is great if you do not have the means to run an HDMI cable and it cost about the same as a 35' monster cable.
  • Pros: Picture is clear and easy to adjust.
  • Cons: Fan noise is to be expected but there is another sound that can be compared to an old hard drive reading a file.

Issue with Lamp Bulb

Clovis, Epson
5 December 2013
  • Summary: Bought the equipment on Jan 23, 2013. I used the equipment less than 3 h per day. Lamp burned yesterday night with less than 1000 h of use. Specifications seems to indicate that lamp is to last 4000 to 5000 h. Mine burned out very early.

Ok, but save up and buy an 80" TV

Anonymous, Crutchfield
16 July 2013
  • Summary: Overall it is a decent projector. There are some pros and cons
  • Pros: The picture has great color and resolution in a dark room.
  • Cons: any ambient light softens and dulls the picture. The projector makes clicking noises when there are large color or scene changes in the movie being watched. The 3D feature will only work if it is connected directly to the Bluray. It will not pass 3D video though the receiver even with the receiver set to passthrough.

Epson 3020e

  • Summary: The setup with Wireless is not great. It gets hung up for some time in between app change with blue ray. It takes lot of time to get on with You Tube App or when switching from movie to other apps and back. I have newest model Blue Ray Samsung player. The wireless links initially takes a embarrassing long. The picture once on is huge and nice on my 135 inch Visual Apex awesome fix screen. 3D quality is great and once again huge screen looks awesome.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up
  • Cons: Confusing Remote, Wireless Connection Poor

annoying whirring noise

  • Excerpt: I was very fortunate to have tried both the Epson 3020 and the Mitsubishi HC7800D. Returned my first Mits since it had a pixel defect and decided to try the Epson because of its rave reviews. The Epson's picture was noticeably grainy compared to the Mitsubishi. I even used the recommended calibration settings for the Epson, and it was nothing compared to the Mits' out-of-the-box settings. Light output for the Epson, however, is significantly brighter.
  • Pros: 5000 Hours Lamp Life, Awesome Service Plan, Excellent Warranty, Rf 3d Glasses Included
  • Cons: Annoying Whirring Noise, Grainy Picture, Overrated, Unrealistic 3d
