Summary: I've been using this projector almost every day this year for videogames and movies and it delivers. Great image quality. Connected to a ps3 is a perfect match as you can play content from local area network, Netflix, bluray, etc. trough the console and deliver outstanding image quality with the projector.
Summary: I bought this projector to be used for some games and hd movies. Ill rather bought the epson705hd with a contrast ratio of 4000.1 but it seems to be almost identical to the ex71. Next time ill buy a DLP projector.
Pros: Easy of use, connectivity, easy of carring and setup. Its an ideal projector for multimedia presentations. Can be used for games and movies but the general contrast and black levels are not enought for a good HD movie-games experience even in total dark rooms. No need to wait to cool down the lamp wich is a great feature.
Cons: Too noisy in normal mode. In Eco Mode the sound of the automatic iris drives me crazy (sounds like an exited bug inside a tin can). poor 2000.1 contrast ratio. The remote control should have a backlight as in optomas projectors.
Summary: Personal Experience We were very happy when we first bought this product. Everything was working perfectly. Things started going wrong about a year after we bought it when the bulb died. We changed the bulb and sometimes it would turn on and function normally, other times it would refuse to produce an image and just start making an unhappy noise.
Summary: I sold me EPSON EX50 and bought this one because of the high def of 1280 X 800 pixels, the HDMI entry and the convenient price. You simply can't have the 1960 X 1080 with the same amount of lumens this unint have. reaserched it and can't find one option. I was very surprised when I discovered the small size of the unit. So conveniently small. The 16X9 format makes it perfect to whatch movies, using your computer or connecting your camera to watch pictures.
EX71 - The Little Projector That Could! (And Does!)
27 December 2011
Summary: I manage a vintage movie theatre that has been in operation since 1927. When our old Simplex 35mm projectors went belly-up in the mid-1970s, we converted into a legitimate theatre and have been presenting live stage plays ever since. I have for many years operated the theatre on a shoestring budget, even at times kicking in my own money just to meet utility bills.
Summary: We were looking for a quality projector for displaying slide shows and video during proposals and training sessions. We've purchased other projectors but this one definitely beats them. We love this projector for it's ease of use, quality display and full feature user interface. We just might have to buy another one.
Summary: I received this about 4 days ago and we painted the wall white, (using flat white paint, not semi gloss) as a side note, it is better to use a flat white paint, due to the semi gloss bringing out every little flaw in the wall (in our case) but anyway, we painted a surface on the wall that ended up making it a 130 inch corner to corner screen, its so cool. as for the picture quality, better than i expected. the colors and brightness is very realistic.
Summary: I did a ton of research, can you say OCD, before buying this projector. In this price range there is not a better system. The picture is crisp and bright. I purchased it for PowerPoint lessons in my classroom, but I will be using this projector for movies and more. I really love the no cool down bulb system. I was really concerned that a student may walk behind the projector and accidentally kick the power cord.
Summary: Personal Experience This projector is awesome. I am a safety comliance officer and trainer. I use this projector on a regular basis and I am very impressed with its performance in conferance rooms and also in the classroom.
