Darned good projector.

B. Marold "Bruce W. Marold", Amazon
22 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought this projector over four years ago on a whim, to present a class I was doing on teaching adult Sunday School. It was horrendously more expensive than what I needed for a one time application. But, as time went on, I have used it for many, many presentations since, and I am just now discovering all the things it can do. As I write this review, I will begin using it to do slide shows from an SD memory card, without need of a PC.

Not bad, except the life of the lamp

freezia, Amazon
16 April 2011
  • Summary: The quality of the projector and its image is not bad, but my lamp died after only ~1500 hours. And the replacement costs $150+. I am not sure whether my case was a typical one, but my experience tells that their claim about the life of lamp (3000 hours) is simply wrong.

WILLIAM DOUGLAS HAMBY, Amazon

  • Summary: Outstanding projector for the money. I got mine for $450, 3 year warranty from Ebay. Found a Mustang 120 inch electric retractable screen on Overstock for $179 and $1.99 shipping. Sony blue-ray with network from Best Buy $150 and Sony 800 watt 5.1 dolby stereo, Best Buy close out $200 and a projector mount for $40 and $1.99 shipping from Overstock too! I have black out screen on the windows and vertical blinds too. I run it at the lower power setting and 1080i.

Amazing Investment. Superior Connectivity. Awesome Image Quality.

Anthony Traveis, Amazon

  • Summary: I did a lot of research before investing in a projector. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the product all around. - It has ever type of connection you might need. - image quality is spectacular, vivid, and cinematic. - It doesn't make any noise to distract from viewing presentation. - It is not too heavy and very portable. - The power cord is not a wall wart adapter. - The remote has some great buttons at the top to quickly find the video's input source.

Epson EX70 LCD Projector Review

kodiak-kenpo, Ebay

  • Summary: This is a great projector. I put film on my patio doors and I can use the economy setting to extend bulb life. Bright would be great for a Superbowl Party with every light on! I have the projector set for 1080i and I use a 120 inch screen....it is fantastic. Maybe my Sony Blu-ray and 800 watt 5.1 Dolby do add to the experince. I stream Netflix movies from my instant queue and stream from laptop via the usb cabe.

Best value online for a HT projector, that I have recently found.

SML1950 "Mikie1950", Amazon
24 June 2010
  • Summary: This is my third home projector in seven years. I purchased this one because my last projector was a 720p and it could not project a blu-ray image because of the dvi connection and HDCP issues. I paid around $600 for my Hitachi PJ-100TX about three years ago. I purchased this factory refurbished PJ for $499 from an online company. I had two Epson Movie Mates (WVGA projectors)that I purchased for my daughter. They each threw a great picture.

  • Summary: Personal Experience good video but not on par with The DLPs in the same price range just not as sharp as the DLPs becuase of low contrast . but great color . noise free scaling, super quite u cant even hear it on sitting next to it , like most LCDs u can see the grid and u will get screen door sitting close compared to DLPs that have very very little , i dont mean to me a DLP chearleader here but its not on the level of DLPs you just dont have the contrast here !

EX70

glife4me, aboutprojectors.com
27 February 2010
  • Summary: I have owned this projector for about 2 months now and in two months have packed in close to 250 hours. Have watched about 8 Bluray movies. The rest has been gaming time. Upon first hooking it up. I was very impressed with the brightness as the lights were on and could still see the picture very well. Now day after day of use. I have grown accustom to playing on it. I have had no reason to take the projector off of economy mode as its plenty bright enough.
  • Pros: HDMI, Native 720P Widescreen, Overall nice features. SD Card slot, Usb slot. Awesome picture. Great brightness. up to 4000 hours on lamp if using economy mode
  • Cons: Power Cord even though long enough to reach should be a little longer. Zoom could be a little more flexible.
