Summary: Have a fully functional unit and so this one as-is. Even if it isn't able to be made to work by replacing the lamp, it is still worth more than I paid for it by selling parts. Remote will bring over $50 alone.
Summary: I own a small business and have perviously purchased 3 epson S-5 projectors and haven't had any problems over the past two years. They're inexpensive, with great quality for the price and we have been more than satisfied.
Summary: If you are looking for an economical solution to your LCD projection needs the Epson S5 LCD Projector is it. (Prior to this review I have purchased 3) The unit is light-weight and powerful, but perhaps the most valuable features are the keystone adjustment and the basic user friendly controls.
Summary: Likes - Inexpensive, lightweight, simple and flexible. Dislikes - No optical zoom and low native resolution. The PowerLite S5 is a great projector and can be purchased for about half the retail price.
Summary: Personal Experience this is one of the easiest projectors to set up and use that i have ever encountered. the instant on/off feature is one of its qualities. by following the quick set-up chart ( another good quality) even an inexperienced user can be up and running in about 10 minutes.
Excerpt: my friend owns one and its a good buy for a cheap slighlty cinema experiance but you should avoid if usin in a small room as it generates a lot of heat an has a constant humming to it that makes you want to throw it out the window!
An opportunity to get close to action of the cinema

Excerpt: I'm a bit weird, not much of a surprise I guess. One of my big vices is 8mm and 16mm movies with a big old fashioned movie projector. A few years ago a combination of a very expensive stereo projector and my other half's backside bought my happy viewing to an end.
