Excellent PJ worth the extra money
28 May 2012
Summary: I have owned several projectors including the newer Epson 8100. This PJ blows everything I've seen out of the water. In the same league as much more expensive JVC RS2. Very good 3D like image and black levels like you have never seen. PJ may look even better then you local movie theater. WARNING: once you have seen this image there's no going back to cheaper projectors.
Summary: Personal Experience I've had my epson for over a year now. Although the image quality is EXCELLENT, and the color depth is still quite impressive compared to other projectors, it routinley fails to deliver with regards to the bulb life. I've gone through about 4 bulbs now, each lasting between 1300-1500 hours out of a promised 2,000... At $300 a peice, I feel like I should have got a free one by now. That being said however, I had a bulb explode today.
Summary: THIS PROJECTORS IMAGE COULD NOT BE GREATER!!!!!! I WAS SHOCKED AT THE DEPTH AND THE REALISUM OF THE PICTURE, I FEEL LIKE IM ON THE SHOOT BEHIND THE PRODUCERS CAMERA.......... SHOCKINGLY REAL! TRUE TO LIFE ON A 135" SCREEN, WOW!
Summary: Amazing video quality, I've got it at 150" diagonally on my wall with no projector screen and it still looks perfect. Watching movies and playing games from my ps3 and computer is just exilerating on this beautiful projection. The 75,000:1 contrast ratio is definitely one of the highlights of this machine. This is better than most LCD Tvs and you can have a 300" Tv depending on the distance and zoom. Love this thing!
Summary: Personal Experience I've been using the projector for about 6 months and have no complaints. The picture is beyond belief!!! You feel like you are the director of the movie, the movie camera is behind you, and you are standing in the same area as the actors. It almost has a 3D feeling at times. My projector is ceiling mounted, slightly farther from the 100" screen than optimal and just a couple of inches off center.
Summary: After years of needling, I finally got my old man to go for a DLP projector. He got this and it's great. Out of the box, onto a white stucco wall in less than five minutes. We also picked up a "Black" screen... and this is incredible. Even in the middle of the day with the sun streaming in, very little loss. Great clarity, BluRays look great as does everything all the way down to .avi files... and this is with it projecting at 110 inches.
Summary: Personal Experience This projector has been nothing but great. Excellent brightness and contrast. I love it. Problems If i did have to complain about something it would have to be the slow handshake with HDMI.
Summary: Personal Experience I was replacing a Infocus 4805 that had the cooling fan die. The picture is awesome. The different modes for viewing are really great. This project is mounted on the ceiling of the family room. The room has a far share of windows. The daylight mode is bright. In the reviews it was commented on that the unit is load. I do not find that at all. In fact my PS3 is loader than the projector. Awesome product for the money.
Summary: One word: SPECTACULAR I wanted to write a review because I remember there were none on Amazon when I wanted to purchase this projector and I always find the customer reviews helpful. I bought this about a month ago and have been thoroughly impressed. It has better image quality then my Mitsubishi DLP. If you can Go for it you will not be let down!
