Conclusion: A lot has been written about LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon) and how it promises to be a much better projector technology than DLP and LCD technology. The Canon Realis SX50, which is currently the lightest LCoS projector on the planet, goes a long way toward fulfilling that promise.
Pros: LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon) technology sidesteps common problems of both DLP and LCD projectors. Bright image. Excellent color and overall image quality. High resolution.
Cons: The native resolution is SXGA+ (1,400-by-1,050), which your current system may not support. Volume from the built-in speakers is barely loud enough to fill a small closet.
