Summary: The W710ST worked great initially, and its short throw was perfect for my small bedroom. I used it with a cable box and was watching TV shows with it. The quality wasn't 1080p obviously, but it was watchable. My next purchase will be 1080p though. I also used the projector for playing PS3 games. It worked great without any problems. However, after a few months of light use the unit wouldn't power on.
if your source is HD it looks amazing. Colors are bright and the dark's are good ...

Summary: Had this for just over a year. Works strong and has changed our movie viewing experience forever. We went from a 32" SD TV to a 50" Plasma and thought we were living it up. Now we have a 140" Projector and it's all we use. Day time, night time, evening time, it is literally all we use. The plasma got moved to the kitchen for use as a computer monitor lol.
Summary: Good picture quality for the price. This projector will give you a full 100" display with only about 6-7 feet of distance from screen. I think it would be great for those who don't want to have to mount a projector on the ceiling. I should have saved myself the trouble and just set this on the coffee table, would have given me option to take it outside for movie nights etc.
Summary: I have had this for over a year now and this is exactly what I wanted for the Man Cave. We use it primarily for gaming and occasionally for watching movies. I have it connected to the PS3 and there is a vast improvement in picture clarity compared to my old InFocus projector (which I still use sometimes). My sons tell me that it vastly improved their online gameplay in the Call of Duty games. I can see a difference in things like Uncharted, Need for Speed and Tombraider.
Summary: Works great in our small 12 X 15 den. Easy setup. We do notice a few spots on a black screenshot but does not really bother us. It does build up heat in a small room. We use it with a 120 inch projector screen (FAVI) electric. Everyone is amazed by the quality and how we have a 120 inch screen in such a small room. Just realize projector bulbs and projectors themselves do not tend to last as long as a TV. We know every 2-4 years we will need to purchase a new projector.
Summary: Our bonus room over the three car garage is our theater room. Don't have the headroom for ceiling mount projector. Had a rear projector, which put the screen in the middle of the 15' x 30' room! This short throw allows the screen to be against the back wall. The projector sits on a small end table 5 feet in front of our 7 foot screen. Much easier to work around a small table 5 feet away from the back wall than lose 225 sq feet of space!
Summary: This is amazing! The picture is definitely HD, and the short throw helps a lot when you don't have much space between your projector and the screen. I use this as a rear projector on an 8' wide screen to run karaoke in a bar, and I only need about 4' behind the screen in order for this thing to fill the entire screen.
Summary: I have owned this for about six months now and it is wonderful. my direct tv on it looks better than my 1080p hdtv sony bravia. it has to be the right lighting in the room obviously the darker the room the better but it still looks graet even with some light in the room. there is no noise from this machine, the speaker sucks but anyone setting up a legit theater in the home uses a different form of sound output.
Summary: Personal Experience I'm always amazed on how good a giant 720p picture looks on my wall I've got it one year now, zero problems Can't believe most people went for the Optoma GT750 that has a poorer image (3000:1 contrast) instead of this one!!!
