Summary: My BenQ W7000 is almost a year old now. Let me quickly tell the projector setup that I have at my home: The projector is hooked up to Onkyo HT-RC-460 AV receiver, Energy Take 5.1 speakers, Sony BluRay player. For 3D viewing I use True Depth 3D DLP glasses (120Hz), projector output is on 120" screen. The projector stands to its 2000 lumens of brightness and 50,000:1 contrast ratio. The picture detail is awesome, black level is good.
Summary: I like most people read reviews before making a purchase. and too like most people i don't have a ton of money. I was worried about the rainbow effect, the black levels . the sharpness, video gaming ... u name it. i also own a 60" Panasonic THX certified plasma TV and while there no comparison during daytime viewing at night the panny wins hands down ( i don't have a total black room). The size (110") more the more than makes up for the difference in deep black detail.
Summary: I bought this projector because of the success that I've had in the past with BenQ projectors. My first BenQ was a W10000 but it got hit by lightning. Then I went with the W6000 but I had been buying all of these 3D movies so I decided to go ahead and get the W7000 projector because it came highly recommended by Home Theater Magazine as one of the best projectors for 3D.
Summary: I've only had this projector for a week and so far I have no complaints. They've made some changes/fixes on these newer models and they have repaired some of the old issues that I have read about in older model reviews. They've also gone back to loading an improved 1.00 firmware. I am a picture snob.
Summary: Started with a BenQ PE8700, upgraded this year to a W7000. Love the 1080P, could only get 480P at first till I figured out I had to change the setup on my Blu Ray Player. Wonderful picture a real preformer.
Summary: I was looking for this projector for quite some time. When I found a reconditioned model I was a little skeptical, but after 2 months time the projector works perfectly. The set up was easy and we have had no problems at all.
Summary: Best Projector for 3D, still better than Panasonic 8000 & Epson 5020. The best test disc for 3D is The Polar Express. Benq W7000 = No Crosstalk, beautiful , clear, detailed picture. You can even see the detail in the snowflakes that the other projectors cannot render.
Summary: This is my first chance to jump into the projector world, and so far I am loving it. I'll start by comparing to a smaller LCD or Plasma. The brightness, color, and blacks do suffer a bit, but the picture is brilliant from corner to corner, and I believe that it looks more life like then an LCD. The brightness of the W7000 seems to be more than enough, and can be watched with a decent amount of light in the room.
