Summary: I have had this projector in my basement for 2 years. Excellent picture quality and extremely bright. Would highly recommend it. I have watched 2000 hours of TV and Netflix movies with my kids and couldn't be happier. Great buy for the $$$. Some folks have complained about the noise of the projector, and I find this laughable. I sit right under the projector on my couch and watch the 120 inch picture without any noise to speak of--and of course a big smile on my face.
Summary: I like my Benq W6000. Good Brightness & Contrast (Balanced) I mainly use it for Movies, Anime & PS3. The Lamp at almost 2500 hours and still OK Recommended it already to some of friends looking for Projectors If I would replace it I would consider the same Brand Model W7000 that got 3D feature.
Summary: I read alot of reviews before buying this projector a few months ago to go into my new home theater. My home theater has a BenQ W6000, A Curved perforated 142" diagonal Dalite screen and a panamorphic lens attached to the BenQ. I was concerned about some of the reviews about buzzing from the BenQ due to the dynamic iris. All I can say is that I do not hear that because the new firmware I believe takes care of it. The picture is absolutely stunning.
Summary: I will try to be quick. I'm happy with my choice. I will do it again. And doing it again I will still be 100% happy. The only downside I have is that I need to wear sunglasses to watch movies ;) man the brightness is far beyond any imaginable expectation I had. After the first 5 min, when I setup the color adjustments right, the colors are very good too.
Excellent HD projector for the price. Has setting for high elevations.

Summary: It has been a pleasure to watch movies with this projector. Has enough power to illuminate a 12' wide screen from 21 feet. Users reported bad initial default colors, but BenQ must have fixed it because in the current version (Nov/2011) the default looks great and I could not improve on it with any of the available (there is a bunch) adjustments. Some reviewers mentioned the fan noise.
Summary: I purchased my BenQ W6000 in April 2011 and couldn't be happier. My viewing situation is a dedicated prior-bedroom 12feet wide by 17 feet long by 8 feet tall. I show on a 106" screen with the inverted projector on the ceiling 12 feet from the screen, which is directly over my seating area. I have excellent light control but don't need it. I can view in near total darkness at noon should I choose to.
