Nice projector

Kent Chapman, Amazon
28 January 2014
  • Summary: I have had this projector in my basement for 2 years. Excellent picture quality and extremely bright. Would highly recommend it. I have watched 2000 hours of TV and Netflix movies with my kids and couldn't be happier. Great buy for the $$$. Some folks have complained about the noise of the projector, and I find this laughable. I sit right under the projector on my couch and watch the 120 inch picture without any noise to speak of--and of course a big smile on my face.

Benq W6000

PSN: Gloriou, Amazon
20 October 2013
  • Summary: I like my Benq W6000. Good Brightness & Contrast (Balanced) I mainly use it for Movies, Anime & PS3. The Lamp at almost 2500 hours and still OK Recommended it already to some of friends looking for Projectors If I would replace it I would consider the same Brand Model W7000 that got 3D feature.

BenQ W6000 with Panamorph Lens

Jamkou "jaykou", Amazon
20 April 2013
  • Summary: I read alot of reviews before buying this projector a few months ago to go into my new home theater. My home theater has a BenQ W6000, A Curved perforated 142" diagonal Dalite screen and a panamorphic lens attached to the BenQ. I was concerned about some of the reviews about buzzing from the BenQ due to the dynamic iris. All I can say is that I do not hear that because the new firmware I believe takes care of it. The picture is absolutely stunning.

I cannot imagine a better projector

Alessandro Volonteri, Amazon
28 February 2012
  • Summary: I will try to be quick. I'm happy with my choice. I will do it again. And doing it again I will still be 100% happy. The only downside I have is that I need to wear sunglasses to watch movies ;) man the brightness is far beyond any imaginable expectation I had. After the first 5 min, when I setup the color adjustments right, the colors are very good too.

Excellent HD projector for the price. Has setting for high elevations.

  • Summary: It has been a pleasure to watch movies with this projector. Has enough power to illuminate a 12' wide screen from 21 feet. Users reported bad initial default colors, but BenQ must have fixed it because in the current version (Nov/2011) the default looks great and I could not improve on it with any of the available (there is a bunch) adjustments. Some reviewers mentioned the fan noise.

Great Projector

Zemo, Amazon
7 December 2011
  • Summary: I haven't noticed ANY noise from the unit, it's about 6ft in back of the theater seats mounted on the ceiling, even with sound off. Once the movie starts the sound system will drown out EVERYTHING! I project right on the 7' wall painted with special titanium oxide paint, the screen measures at 165 sq inches, although the projector is supposed to be able to go to 250. Picture is VERY bright & good quality!! Would definitely recommend this projector!

Incredible value for home theater

L. hitchings "cme4brain", Amazon
11 October 2011
  • Summary: I purchased my BenQ W6000 in April 2011 and couldn't be happier. My viewing situation is a dedicated prior-bedroom 12feet wide by 17 feet long by 8 feet tall. I show on a 106" screen with the inverted projector on the ceiling 12 feet from the screen, which is directly over my seating area. I have excellent light control but don't need it. I can view in near total darkness at noon should I choose to.

User Review

Adrian Barac, Projector Central

  • Summary: Personal Experience Absolutely sensational. After some tweaking (be sure to read the forums), this thing produces a jaw-dropping, razor-sharp, intense image with exceptional contrast and good black level. This kills any LCD or LCOS/SXRD for sheer sharpness, intensity and motion refresh. The lens shift, throw and offset are real assets.
