Great picture, but watch out when the hours add up

Summary: Great picture, super bright. At 1100 hours, the bulb would shut off immediately after startup. Tech support advised me to remove and reinstall the bulb which I did and it worked problem free until 1700 hours when the problem repeated.
Summary: I work at a movie theater, and I still prefer coming home to watch movies on this projector. On my 135" screen the picture can be seen clearly midday with only diffusing shades pulled down. This would have been a 5 egg review if not for the iris.
Pros: Bright, clear image. Huge variety of inputs, and its easy enough to use, even the most technologically impaired could operate it.
Cons: Its DLP, which means it rainbows. Depending on screen size and sensitivity to DLP rainbow, some people might be annoyed by this. The iris is so loud that I had to turn it off.
Summary: Update: I took away one star as I had to return the projector after 6 hours of viewing due to excessive rainbow artifacts. I could see rainbows during actual scenes (My wife, who has never seen the rainbows on the old projector said she did notice them on the W6000 but they were not bothersome to...
Summary: I purchased my BenQ W6000 in April 2011 and couldn't be happier. My viewing situation is a dedicated prior-bedroom 12feet wide by 17 feet long by 8 feet tall. I show on a 106" screen with the inverted projector on the ceiling 12 feet from the screen, which is directly over my seating area.
Summary: Personal Experience Absolutely sensational. After some tweaking (be sure to read the forums), this thing produces a jaw-dropping, razor-sharp, intense image with exceptional contrast and good black level. This kills any LCD or LCOS/SXRD for sheer sharpness, intensity and motion refresh.
Pros: The picture is very crisp and bright. I have a lot of ambient light and I can still see the picture very clearly. I've mainly been watching movies and haven't noticed any issues with action scenes. However I have yet to watch any sports
Cons: The thing is noisy. I have it mounted overhead and during quiet scenes it is noticeable. Also the iris is rather noisy when changes to darker scenes. Much to my wife's chagrin, I keep the volume up. So I only hear the projector noises during the pauses in sound. I could see how this additional no...
Summary: Like many, I went back and forth over the thought of buying a projector before finally pulling the trigger. There was a SERIOUS issue with the amazon shipment of the first unit, and I needed the projector in place for the Final Four so I had to ppurchase one elsewhere.
Summary: Comments about BenQ W6000: With the recent price drop in the W6000, I was fortunate enough to be able to snag it while it was on a short discounted price, and I am definitely overly satisfied.
Pros: Deep Blacks, Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Great picture quality, High contrast ratio, Lens Shift, Reliable Performance
Summary: This is a really bright projector and projects very sharp images. Needed quite a bit of color adjustment out of the box but I got it to look really good. However, the DLP rainbow effect was very noticeable to both me and my son on this machine.
