The W5000 has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. In addition to its native 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, the projector also supports anamorphic, 4:3 and letter box. With its Panamorphic lenses, the W5000 can project 2.35:1 aspect ratio videos (typically used by major studio movies) without letter-boxing and distortion.
The projector uses a 200 watt lamp with an estimated life of 3000 hours in low power mode and 2000 hours in high power mode. It has a brightness level of up to 1200 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 10000:1. The projector has a minimum throw distance of 6.6 feet and maximum of 26.2 feet for a projection image size of 40 inches to 300 inches.
Video inputs of the W5000 include 2 HDMI (with HDCP) ports, S-Video, analog RGB (BNC x 5), composite video and component video ( RCA x 3; BNC x 3).
Additional features include powered vertical lens shift, motorized IRIS adjustment and VIDI lighting technology. For even smoother and more vivid pictures, the W5000 has Benq’s Senseye, Pixel-by-Pixel processing, BrilliantColor and DynamicBlack technologies. The projector also features 3 factory-preset modes (Cinema, Dynamic, Standard) in addition to 3 user-customizable modes.
