Summary: I have been using this for a few days. It's very quiet, and the picture is phenomenal. I have run into a few problems which I will address with BenQ support: Although it is set for auto shut-off after 5 minutes, I left it today with no input for about 45 minutes, and when I returned it was still on.
Summary: I've considered to choose Benq W1500 because it has FullHD resolution, 6-segment 4-speed color wheel (RGBRGB), high brightness and also it has WHDI connection with any hardware with HDMI-out. I use 150" MW-screen (about 330 cm width) and the picture with max brightness looks over-exposed, so I had to lower the projector's brightness to 40%. And I had to use ECO mode due to noise, because the noise in normal mode is too high.
Summary: Personal Experience Have just replaced an $8,000 Epson projector in my Home Theatre with the Benq W1500. The unit is excellent and the picture has plenty of 'pop' to the eye and excellent sharpness. The unit from the box needed minor calibration to give a superb picture with good detailed blacks and accurate colour. This my fist DLP unit - previous DLP's I have looked at gave the classic raninbow - not this 6 segment unit.
