Summary: Personal Experience UPDATE TO MY REVIEW. After owning the benq w1200 for a 3 months I found out you could solve the lip sync problems by buying a blue ray player that has a Audio/video sync function. The Sony BDP – S185.
Summary: Personal Experience I've owned an Optoma H31 for 6yrs.It was a great machine in its day. After 3mos of research I purchased the W1200 for $899...wat a deal! wasn't the best picture out of the box buy I got some calibration tips from projectorreviews.com and vwolla!
Summary: Best projector I could find for the money with the feature set I wanted. I've had absolutely no issues with it, except for the above issue, and firmware may fix that, I haven't tried. I'm about to purchase another one.
Pros: Excellent picture quality, excellent feature set. My setup is only a 10' wide screen, but it has amazing picture quality. Includes sound in and out and mounted speakers, which is a difficult feature to find on these projectors. The mounted speakers are about what you'd expect from "monitor speake...
Cons: When connecting to my xbox 360 through HDMI, a green digital pixelation occurs around the various graphics layers (especially smoke effects on skyrim). There is a setting under the projector settings: Display-->HDMI Gain [or Boost or something] that needs to be set to the max of 3 to eliminate th...

Summary: I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I love this projector. This is my 3rd BenQ. The other two are still going strong after years of use, but I wanted a brighter high def picture. I no longer have to close blinds or turn off the lights to see a brilliant picture!!
Summary: Just great product. Very quiet, crisp image. I project to 110" wide (straight, not diagonal) and image is sharp as it gets. This is the 3rd projector I've owned from BenQ and very happy each time.
Summary: Personal Experience Just bought the W1200 last week and have had a great time with it so far. The out of the box colors have been amazing, the increased contrast between the W1100 and the W1200 is definitely visible in the difference it enhances in picture quality and color accuracy.
Summary: I am claiming that this is the best home theater projector in its category! For those that want a projector that performs extremely smoothly in fast-action scenes, games or sports, this is your answer. The W1200 has special technology to get it done.
Pros: I think it definitely beats movie theaters, even IMAX. The quality is literally similar to an IPS monitor, it’s perfect. Many would probably argue otherwise, but that’s my opinion! I also love how you can do picture in picture setups and can toggle between two feeds. It’s great for sports and I k...
Cons: Those who are extremely sensitive to RBE may not be able to enjoy the pure awesomeness of this projector.
