  • Summary: This item does not have a case. It is too big to carry to outside meetings. The color goes bad really fast.

  • Summary: I think I got a crappy projector. When it worked properly it was excellent. The projector has developed vertical lines on screen. At first it was as I turned it on but they would disappear and now they are on constantly. I contacted BenQ but have yet to hear back from them. I purchased it in June, I got my free 2nd light bulb just a week or so ago. That is a long time to wait for a rebate.
  • Pros: Excellent Picture quality, works as a both my T.V. and Computer screen.
  • Cons: Has developed vertical lines perfectly spaced on the screen. Very annoying

  • Summary: Ive had this projector for almost a year now and it's pretty much impossible to get a better projector at this price point. I'm still very satisfied with it. Movies and games look awesome. As with any projector, make sure you measure your throw distance before buying.
  • Pros: Awesome image quality. Easy to setup. Plenty of inputs. Good looking. 4000 hours lamp in ECO mode.
  • Cons: No 3d but who cares. Noisy when not in ECO mode.

  • Summary: I wasn't aware that these projectors had a problem with dead pixels, yet the one I received has one in the center of the screen, making it slightly annoying. Also, I was promised a free second lamp from the mail-in-rebate, but that was 3 months ago and it has yet to come in. The fact that this projector has no vertical or horizontal lens adjustment makes it very hard to set up initially and limits where you can place it in a room.
  • Pros: Decent quality image
  • Cons: Dead pixel. Scam rebate.

  • Summary: I am dissapointed with the rebate offer that was not respected, i bought this projector in june 2012, we are in september and i am still waiting for the projector lamp they promised to send me by mail. Why is it taking so long to receive a simple lamp? The buttons on the top seem like they misaligned and are going to pop out. This projector produces a lot of heat. I will only be satisfied when i receive the lamp that was promised as a rebate offer.
  • Pros: nice resolution
  • Cons: heat

  • Summary: I was very close to buying the Panasonic AR100U from another vendor due to the 2800 lumens but decided on this unit instead. I have had good service from NCIX and I am replacing a reliable Benq projector now. Plugged in and worked right away. The auto settings were fine for now. What a difference going from 720P to 1080P - more than I expected.
  • Pros: Bright clear display, good blacks, great value, free bulb if you were lucky enuf to buy during the promotion
  • Cons: auto detect source never really turns off

  • Summary: I have been using the BenQ W1100 for about two weeks and I am still amazed by the quality of the video image. One draw back, if you can believe, to my liking the videos come out too bright, the whites are almost blinding if the room is dark. To reduce the brightness effect, I actually leave some of lights on ... and the quality of the image is still GREAT ... full HD.
  • Pros: Unbelievable image quality for the price
  • Cons: If you are going to travel occasionally with this projector a smaller projector may be better.

  • Summary: I had initially picked up the Epson 8350 because a friend recommended me to go for it. However I was a bit disappointed. The projector worked fine, the colors were great, it was fairly bright, it helps if you have placement issues; however coming from an older DLP unit, it lacked the POP, which most DLP users talk about. I was warned by some in the HT field that I was going to encounter that, but luckily I had 30 days to return it from the place of purchase.
  • Pros: Bright, well rounded, fabulous picture quality, great for movies, sports or gaming, extremely bright
  • Cons: Could have better black levels

  • Summary: Personal Experience My wife was sensitive to some rainbow effects when we went to check DLP projectors a year ago, but then we went around looking for them this year and came across the Optoma HD20, Mits HC4000 and the BenQ W1100, where all 3 had 4x color wheels. We were happy to know that the color wheel was fast enough to eliminate her seeing rainbows.
