  • Summary: Personal Experience Big Bang for the Buck!!! If you are on less than a shoe string budget but want a high quality Home Theater viewing experience, THIS IS IT!!! The PB6240 provides for a reasonable price a very bright, vibrant, clear picture even with some modest room lighting. I do not notice any of the particular problems normally mentioned with a low cost projector such as “screen doorâ€ effect or â€rainbowâ€ colors.

  • Summary: Personal Experience fantastic picture! using the projector for home theatre and gaming. kids love it, easy setup, easy to use. Problems bought 12/05, failed 4/06. called BENQ, quick RMA, promised 3-5 business day turnaround. I called on the 10th business day and took over an hour to find out that it was fixed and they were ready to ship back. They promised it would ship that day (Friday) 2nd day air. Called Tuesday because I still didn't have it.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I bought this primarily for playing DVD video. The light output is at least less than half compared to a presentation from a Laptop. This was a bad buy for me. I wanted 2700 lumens for video projection. I doubt this has over 600 lumens when used with a video signal. Wish it was more clear. Anyone want to buy a new projector? We have a Sanyo at church that is only about 1700 lumens and it blows this away. It is an LCD... maybe that is the diference?

  • Summary: Personal Experience A very bright (even in eco-mode) projector and ideally suited for viewing digital photos. Wide angle lens means easy placement. A great choice and value for money Problems No DVI socket (but adapators to the VGA port available); fans a bit noisy, but acceptable in eco-mode.

  • Summary: Personal Experience This is a superb projector that satisfied all my needs. I am using this as a home theater projector. The projector is bright enough that it still provides an excellent picture in a lighted room. When the lights go out, WOW! Problems I wish it has a DVI port.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I wanted a bright projector and this is BRIGHT. In the classroom it is about twice as bright as my overhead projector or any other data projector I've used. I have turned Word to a blue background with white letters and its great like that. I can have the curtains open, door by the screen open, lights on, and the image is great and is preferred by the students over the Overhead or the Whiteboard.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Bought this machine for home theater although it is meant for the School/office/presentation category. The point was to connect it to my XGA laptop. I play DVD on my laptop and the picture is breathtaking. I put it inverted on a shelf 7feet high with a 15 feet throw distance. I had to zoom to the smallest possible size! I have a 50 feet VGA cable that works perfectly (for those who wonder - I, for one, was kind of worried by such a long cable).
