Summary: Personal Experience I have had this 6210 for almost 5 years. Still on the original bulb. I use it strictly for movies/blurays, ps3, and xbox 360. I love the quality and its perfect for what I use it for. Running 1080i all the time and it looks exceptional. Problems As another user stated, I also have dust inside the optics somewhere that is causing those bright spots on dark images. Drives me nuts but my guests never seem to notice.
Summary: Personal Experience Great little projector with 1024x768 res. But huge flaw in design that allows dust to easily collect around optics, which is not at all accessible to clean! Even opening the underside to replace the bulb doesn't give you access to where the dust is. Problems The result is huge white spots on dark scenes. Really frustrating. I had mine "cleaned" by BENQ when it was in warranty. That removed the majority of the dust.
Summary: Personal Experience Great little projector that I use as a home tv (with Sky+) and for x360/Wii gaming. This is still going strong even though its giving me lamp warning! Does exactly what it says on the tin and is very bright. Sadly though, if you lose the remote then the menu's can be a bit of a pain to use when the projectors in situ.
Summary: Personal Experience The projector is very bright and good for low light as well as really dark rooms. Its 4:3, so beware if your mainly going to be showing films. Has a rather pointless PowerPoint scrolling USB feature. Does anyone in the world actually use this? One negative, and its a big one for me: The projector really attracts dust into the internal elements behind the lens. This would be ok IF you could get at the dust but its simply not possible.
Summary: Personal Experience I got this projector for roughly a grand Canadian almost 2 years ago. I'm just at 3000 hours and it looks like the projector will NOT let you use it with more than 3000 hours on the lamp. I started noticing a little image degradation at about 2500 hours, but it is still quite decent. I spend about 75% of the time using it for PC at 1024 x 768 res, but also use it as a home theatre projector in my completely darkened basement.
Summary: Personal Experience Bought this about two years ago, and have put up over 2600 hours on my lamp without replacement (granted most of that was on economy mode, but the picture is still great). Really a great projector, very bright picture.
Summary: Personal Experience This is a great chep projector, bought it a year ago. The lamp doesn't last 150 hours only as someone here says, mine has lasted 880 hours. The resolution is good, cause you can only see the pixels if you consentrate (176", 3m away) Problems None so far :D
Summary: Personal Experience Have had this projector up and running for about 3 weeks. Have some ambient light during the day but blinds take care of that. At night in a darkened room , absolutely no complaints from an image quality. Very bright picture on a 7ft wide DIY Blackout cloth screen even with econo mode. Screendoor effect at about 8 ft from screen. Seating at about 12-14ft and see none. No rainbows either (luckily).
Summary: Personal Experience Just bought this projector to replace another one from another brand I was having problems with. I would say I'm satisfied, not outstandingly, but not dissatisfied as well. Image from a computer using VGA input look a little fuzzy compared to the previous unit , but at least this one works! The brightness is excellent and colours are vivid. The S-Video input is a bit fuzzy, so I used a converter cable from Component to VGA to plug in my DVD reader.
